works well for reading codes on Semi trucks, and also cars. On my Kenworth it didn't like to clear codes, but on my cars it does. I think it works great for the price. It has saved me alot of money doing diag myself.

Worked good for my 3 Dump Truck with 6 and 9 PIN connector and also works well with alone OBD2 scanner for vehicles. Did not read on my Case Magnum 235 Tractor. Out of all I give it 4 out of 5.

Nice product but it's not supported in the USA. Launch has an exclusive US distributor located in Ontario California and they do not sell on Amazon. The seller is based out of Asia, and US computers will not interface with the Launch Server in order to download software updates. Additionally this product will not interface with late model (2017 and newer) Freightliner M2 trucks. It will interface with mid 2000's trucks, but again w/o factory software support.

States that it reads navistar engine codes and can do a lot of stuff. It's just a simple scanner. Nothing fancy

I have a 2006 Freightliner Century with a Mercedes-Benz MBE4000 with EGR but no aftertreatment system, the Freightliner factory ECU/Diagnostic program would bring up fault codes if a "check engine" light appeared and I could also erase them so I never needed a scanner. I recently purchased a 2016 International LoneStar with a Cummins ISX15 with the EPA mandated after-treatment system and boy do I need a scanner all the time? Yes I do! If you own a truck you need this scanner, it will save you tons of money in shop diagnostic connection fee and unnecessary repairs. All the codes that have come up thus far on my ISX15 was after-treatment related(without having loss of engine performance). Every 10+ days when my ISX15 is regening the check engine light will appear; "water in the fuel", "Purge Air Actuator" but never have any performance issues and when I clear the codes they don't come back on for another couple of weeks. If I'd go to the shop to let them diagnose the problem who knows what kind of repairs they would talk me into, even thou I did purchased a 4 year Platinum warranty with my International but Time is also money! As the recent case with the A/C compressor went out on this new truck and it was under warranty but the International shop was backed up and couldn't get me into the shop for 4+ days so I bought the compressor myself and took the parts to the truck stop and had them put it on and I was back up and running in less than 24 hours rather waiting 5+ days just to make a $1000 warranty claim when I made 3 times that running loads. I do recommend this Launch HODB diagnostics tool It worked on my 2006 6-pin Freightliner and my 2016 9-pin J1939 International. It have lots of live data, it cleared all my faults(current and historical). The only problem I found with this scanner is; that I can't seem to update the software with my windows 10 computer even if you run the program in Windows 8 compatibility mode.

Glad I made the decision to buy this product. One week after buying it, I was at the shipper picking up a load and the check engine light came on, plugged in to the computer to check the code. After checking what the code meant, cleared code, picked up and delivered the load. Picked up another load and went to the shop to get truck fixed. Drove1200 miles before going to the shop. It needed a computer regen. Use it on my 2012 Freightliner Cascadia

Read my code for my Kenworth T800 2007. I have a 2006 Cummins ISM. It didn't clear my active codes but it did clear all my inactive codes. Cummins Insite is great but really expensive.. Cummins Insite laptop programs don't clear active codes either. I'm keeping it in my truck for sure!

It cleared engine chk light for volvo 2016 d13. It has to do with emission sensor. I feel good without engine chk light. But, most features will not work on my volvo d13 2016 model. You might try other product if you want other features. After 8 month of using this, I clear check engine light many times. Because Volvo 2016 is getting older, over 500k miles, giving out lots of false engine check lights now. To tell whether or not it is false engine check lights, you erase engine check lights first. Then, if another engine check lights is on quickly, it means it has some issues or sensor needs to be replaced. My nox sensor had causing to turn on engine check lights even after erasing it, it turned back on. Then, mechanic replaced sensor and dpf filter. Then, no more engine check light any more. So, you can erase and test to see if engine check light back on again. Then you can find out if you really need to go to shop or just erase the error code. In that usage, you can save lots of time by not messing with shop any more. In that regard, I am going to upgrade to 4 star today. I hope more advanced and feature will be added to this, and connection to smartphone in future, I hope.

Great little unit , works great on my 2016 kenworth t800 , actually had 71 data value I was impressed, needed something just to read and clear codes on the road and it’s perfect

This one doesn’t work with trucks

It's a good scan tool, only complaint is I can't update the thing Been trying to contact the manufacturer of the product and cannot get any technical support, it does it's job but any newer trucks it won't work on Have a 2018 frieghliner that it has issues reading certain codes And update would probably fix this but it won't let me do it Other wise I used to have this tool before someone stole it from my toolbox a few years ago, and it worked almost as good as some of the higher end scan tools at the time Highly recommend it, but still frustrated that I cannot update the software

Was using this for J1708, worked for 2 weeks, now doesn't detect J1708 anymore.

My little NH tractor stopped working. Mechanic with expensive scanner could not connect. Launch CR-HD connected and read the codes and put the mechanic back on track.. luv it
