Sound World Solutions - Sidekick - Bluetooth Wireless Personal Sound Amplifier (Two Ear Bundle, Black Pearl Metallic)

I just bought a set of hearing aids for $695. Yes, $695 TOTAL. Good sound, 3 settings: everyday, restaurant, and entertainment, volume control, bluetooth compatible, RECHARGEABLE BATTERIES. My audiologist was going to charge me $6,000 for a set to get the bluetooth. $6,000!! And I paid $695.We are being RIPPED OFF by these little companies like Clear-Tone and even our audiologists. Just think of the mark-up percentage they are making. They charge us $4-6,000 dollars!! These are just a little larger than the set I paid $5,000 for a couple years ago. I bought these on Amazon after seeing an ad for them on Facebook. I'm a very skeptical person, but as you know with Amazon, if you don't like the product, ship it right back for a full refund. These are practically invisible and the part that normally sits on TOP of your ear, rests BEHIND your ear AND it has a wind screen built in. Negative: I tried using the app that you download on your phone to stop the whistling and set them to MY personal level of hearing. I was not very successful at that. So, I'm going to call the manufacturer Monday for help. I rate 3 instead of 5 because the whistling is awful, the sound is way too tinny, but I'm hoping the manufacturer can help me make adjustments.

I have bought 3 of these & for the price they do me very well. However the 1st one the plastic tube around the wire of the ear pieice has cracked into in 2 places, it still works, but I'm affraid to use it because the wire could break. I don't know if Sound World can put a new plastic tube on it

For the sake of terminology....this "sidekick" is a set of personal amplifiers...but in terms of functionality this is a "hearing aid".which is somewhat unique in that the units are re-chargable , and have the ability to have an individual ear program selected by the user . I use the downloadable app on my Ipad which, via bluetooth, allows me to choose the individual level of intensity at different frequency ranges, which results in me producing my own individual volume level program for each ear. Also....I have, after this, accessed the bluetooth on my smart phone to listen privately to phone calls.

I have been using hearing aids for over 9 years. I paid over $4,400 for the first pair made by Seimens. The price has come down a little, but never as low as what I paid for this “Side Kick”. This ones are rather large. However, considering how it performs, its worth it.

When programmed for my ears, via the Bluetooth phone connection, they improved my ability to hear conversations in a noisy environment significantly. I only wear them as needed, because they are large enough to be somewhat uncomfortable over long periods. A couple of hours is fine.

Works great, I can actually hear a lot better with these. They work just like the 6000.00 pair the dr. Prescribed dut are a lot bigger in size. I can live with that for the price difference. Only complaint is they are advertised to have an 18 hour battery life but I’m lucky to get 12 before I need to recharge them
