Wireless and flawless so far
I needed to replace older wired keyboard in which some keys stopped responding, and no cleaning nor checking could correct. So went for wireless. Immediate recognition by my desktop, and perfect operation thus far. When system offline, will even keep a cover on it to prevent dust or debris build up. So far, a great choice for home data usage.

Quiet, Lovely Keyboard
I got this keyboard for my boufriend and he loves it. So far it's held up very well, and I think we've only had to change it's batteries once since we got it and he's using it daily. He's a gamer, but it's quiet. It doesn't have that loud, annoying CLANK CLANK CLANK of some keyboards. The tapping gets so annoying with others, but this one has been nice and quiet. Which is a boon, because if all I could ever hear from him was CLACK CLACK TAP TAP CLACK I think I'd pull my hair out.

Works with Mac (see review for key mappings)
I loved the price, and it DOES work with my Mac. But you need to know that the HP keyboard is designed for Windows, so the key mappings are odd for a Mac user. But you don't really have to do anything to use it on a Mac. The 'windows' key is already mapped to the 'command' key functionality of a Mac, and the Windows 'Alt' key is mapped to the Mac 'Option' functionality. The keyboard comes with a USB-A dongle that you have to plug into your Mac, as the transmitter on the keyboard does not connect to the Mac bluetooth without the dongle. And the Mac won't even see it as a connected bluetooth device, but it was relatively easy to connect. I followed the on-screen instructions during setup and had to indicate that it was a non-standard keyboard, but then the Mac was able to see it. The keyboard comes with 2 AA batteries that you can install into the back edge. If you don't see the location at first, keep looking. It's there. I had a bit of trouble opening it up and was lucky the damn thing didn't break. The keyboard itself is not backlit, but it works fine. At this price, no complaints. The only thing I have not yet discovered is how to find out the charge level of the batteries without opening it back up and using a physical battery tester. You cannot see the charge level in the Mac's System Settings because, again, the Mac doesn't even recognized it as a bluetooth connected device.

Bigger than expected, but quiet when typing and comes with batteries
Nice Keyboard. I gave it 4 stars because it's pretty big and bulky. A lot bigger than what I was expecting, but I'm going to keep it because the keyboard when typing is really quiet. It connect well and easily to my set up. It's really responsive. Plus, for $20 you can't beat the price. It also comes with 2 duracell batteries, which was unexpected. So, you don't have to buy batteries either.

2 of these keyboards lasted LESS THAN 2 MONTHS & super complicated to get support
I ordered a few of these HP 230 keyboards to replace wired keyboards at our office that were wearing down after 5+ years, as they appeared to be a simple, low cost, low profile option at the time. However, two of them have now stopped working within two months. The troubleshooting tips were not helpful, Amazon says they can't send replacements or refunds after the 30-day return window, Amazon will only provide the main HP website address (hp.com) as a method to seek support, and HP will not even allow us to contact them (website will not display a contact number or allow a CSR chat) because devices sold on Amazon are by default not under warranty.Reddit came to the rescue with some phone numbers to call to get around the HP website. I called and had a very slow/confusing conversation with a customer service rep, who eventually told me that they could place the device under warranty if I sent them my Amazon invoice. She created a case number, then sent me an email, to which I replied with my Amazon invoice. Once she verified that the device was indeed less than 2 months in our possession, she created a warranty and then issued a replacement order directly from HP.All in all, it was a frustrating experience. I would not have spent all this time figuring out how to contact customer service, except that we have several more of these keyboards that may fail sooner than later. We will not be ordering any other HP devices in the future - Logitech may get all of our small electronics business going forward.

Works great and is easy to install which is what I like.

Super quiet, good feel, wireless.
What do you hear? Not much… What do you see? Not cords… This keyboard is super quiet. I cannot believe how quiet it is. The only key that makes any noise is the space bar. The keys are textured, it is light, has all of what I expect in a keyboard. The enter button is exactly where I expect it to be. Not offset and weird to get to with my pinky finger. There is no power button, so we will see how long the batteries last. It takes two AAA batteries, at least it is not 4-8 of them like some of the older wireless keyboards. I like to use my laptop at home in a closed manner with two monitors, wireless mouse and wireless keyboard so I can place them out of the way when not in use. This is exactly what I have been needing. The reduced typing sound is nice because it won’t wake my family while I am trying to work early in the morning or late at night. If you are looking of regular keyboard for typing that is wireless for easy storage and clutter free use, then I highly recommend this one.

Perfect
High quality , no noise, soft and smooth clicks, no crazy light. I love how this keyboard delivers the basic role of the keyboard perfectly. It comes with batteries as well, a great value.

Great quality and works well with laptop
Needed a keyboard to use with my laptop and this keyboard works very well with it. The keyboard connects easily via a usb port. Added bonus is that it included Duracell batteries, not cheap off brand ones. It is very quiet when typing and the keys are easy to use, similar to the keys on the HP laptop I am using it with.

No bad for its price point but if you are fussy spend more to get more
I’ve had it a year and a half, this was a fairly inexpensive wireless keyboard, and that it still works as good as when I got it that’s pretty good.Pro’s-Batteries last at least a month or so and are AAA so fairly affordable to replace-Plug and play-Number pad-light weight so can take it with me when I have to travel.Con’s-It’s not as quiet as I hoped, better than the one I had but not a silent keyboard.-No off switch, I have to remove the batteries when I travel with it or when I’m away for more than two days otherwise I find the batteries are dead when I get back.-sometimes it glitches and is not responsive so I think the batteries are dead when they are not, I remove them and reinstall and it works again perfectly.-After a year and a half the letter labels are wearing off. I do wipe it down fairly often with a soft microfibre cloth and a gentle cleaner but I don’t scrub it with anything abrasive or a Mr clean eraser.-Sometimes keys stick or stutter when I first start the computer.-I have to remove the usb plugs when rebooting or my Lenovo laptop gets stuck in a loop on reboot. That is most likely my works computer policies fault but I had hoped with the keyboard being an HP and a “brand” name the drivers would be universal enough to not need to be removed every reboot.Over all it’s not bad, very much a case of you get what you pay for, but it’s still working and until I want to pay quite a bit more $$$$$ this will do.

LOVE These Keyboards!
Love this. I have been using this keyboard for a while (in fact, to type this very review out), and I think it is great. I have owned a lot of nice keyboards over the years, but I always found the cheap ones that came in the box with your package PC to be charming and so nice to type on for some reason.Anyway, the wires attached to those super cheap ones were a little annoying, and when I finally had to replace mine, I realized that the exact keyboard comes as a wireless one! Anyways, I obviously bought it and I love mine. The keys are soft, it took zero setup other than just plugging the usb adaptor in to my laptop (worked immediately), and the two triple-a batteries have been running so long that honestly I forgot that it needs them. It has been several months now and it is still going strong. It also came with the batteries already which was a really nice surprise, and they're duracells! Great touch. This product is great, I love it. It sounds nice, feels nice, was super affordable, and fit every box I need. Get yourself one!
