A budget friendly machine for a small workstation or a mini server to run some VMs on
I have been very happy with the machine. I am using it to run some small server apps on windows and on a Linux Virtual Machine with no challenges. I found Windows 10 Pro pre installed on the machine via a digital license that I was able to link to a Microsoft Account. I observed the network flows from the device and didn't notice anything out of ordinary. I tested the machine with some workloads and found the cores temps would hover around 70c. I found the fan noise to be minimal during those periods. It would continue to perform the task while maintaining that temperature. One very minor hiccup I had, my PC after the second day started telling me on the boot that the power supply was lower than rated and it would slowdown performance. I found that the machine went at a crawl.... 800 MHz on all cores. The power supply received is a 90 W supply, likely the cause was a contact got hung up from the power supply to tell the PC that it was high wattage. To work around this I used ThrottleStop app from TechPowerUp to disable the throttling caused by the PC thinking it has an indequate supply. That put all cores back to the normal speed of 2.4 GHz.

Worked good at first: Died within 6 months :( customer service is bad too.
The goodish: At first I really liked this computer, I got it for some at home work and gaming (Minecraft & Valorant). It was great for work. Minecraft lagged badly in Java but once I switched to the windows/bedrock version it played smoother. Valorant seemed to play good but I don’t have great internet so it’s hard to tell & the PC would occasionally crash mid game leading to afk offenses. One thing to note is that the monitor it came with was a wall monitor, I knew there was variations to what monitor you could get but there was no info about it possibly being a wall monitor. It was actually kind of nice for me but if you live in a place that can’t have a wall monitor keep in mind it’s possible for it to come with one that only works on the wall. The very bad: As mentioned before it would occasionally crash completely powering down but it would always boot back up and work fine after. About 6 months after I got it the pc crashed mid use, I went to turn it back on and it popped up with a screen saying the PC needed to be recovered with a special disk. I looked up the error code and saw that sometimes that is caused by a usb or power cord not being properly connected and to unplug all cords and check their connection. I did this and In doing this found that the power cord (sent with the computer originally) had melted. For background I only use the computer 4-6 hours at max in a day and had only had the computer on for about an hour when this happened so if I was using this full time for work instead of just occasional projects I don’t know how this pc would have held up. I reached out to the pc seller and after about a week of trying to get in contact (calling and them never picking up or calling me back, them insisting on calling me and then not) they told me to simply pick up a new standard 3 prong power cord. I was obviously worried that there was a bigger issue that would lead to the pc melting a cord but did what they said. They didn’t tell me any other details like what voltage requirements it needed so I looked around and got one that matched the voltage that most on the market are, that didn’t work. I looked at the original cord and it had a different requirement and after scouring the web found one that matched it and tried it however that didn’t work either with the computer only having a flashing orange power light/nothing on screen/and the fan running loud. I then reached out to the seller again and told them this and they said to take it to a local computer repair person because my warranty had ended. Luckily I had gotten the extra asurion protection plan. I called their tech support and they told me that this usually means that the power supply unit has failed and I would need to file a claim to get a refund. I’m glad I got the protection plan but this means packing up a pc, monitor, keyboard, and mouse and shipping it to asurion in order to get an Amazon gift card refund. Bottom line I’m in shock that in only 6 months of owning this pc the power supply unit failed and on top of that the customer support was incredibly lacking once I did experience issues.

Solid Performance for Work and Everyday Use
I purchased the Dell OptiPlex desktop with an Intel Core i5 processor for home and office use, and overall it has been a dependable machine. Performance is smooth for everyday tasks like web browsing, email, document work, and light multitasking. It boots quickly and runs reliably without freezing or lag. The build quality is solid, as expected from Dell business-class desktops. It feels durable and well-designed, and the compact form factor fits nicely on or under a desk without taking up much space. Setup was straightforward, and everything worked right out of the box. That said, this system is clearly designed for productivity rather than heavy graphics or gaming. Integrated graphics are fine for basic use but not ideal for demanding visual tasks. Also, depending on configuration, storage and RAM may feel limited for power users, though both are upgradeable. Overall, this is a good value desktop for work, school, or general home use. Reliable, fast enough for most needs, and built to last. I’m satisfied with the purchase, with only minor limitations keeping it from a full five stars.

So Happy!
I was nervous purchasing this package, but my laptop's 15 yrs old and I desperately needed better equipment for the Zoom meetings I'm involved with. When I first received my package I upset to find the tower wouldn't work. I reached out to a friend in IT at work who came over and confirmed the tower I received was a dood and useless. Luckily the seller STG Global then reached out to me regarding any needed tech support. I responded with a bit of nasty message as I had received a lemon and was sure I was out of my money. STG Global surprised me by sending me a Fed Ex label to return the unworking tower then sent me a replacement tower. I was afraid they would need me to return all the parts, but they were good with me just returning the tower for replacement. Now my package is smoking. It's all speed & cool lights and I no longer worry about crashing in the middle of a Zoom meeting.

This computer is 8 years old, so be prepared to switch your hard drive if needed
For the price and everything thing i got this was great. I only had the computer for a month EXACTLY before it started running slow and stuff so thankfully I'm computer savvy more than the average person and i ran a diagnostic test on mine and i needed an updated graphics card and guess what. A NEW HARD DRIVE!!! This was a super easy task but this was irritating. As soon as you get this computer make a recovery USB asap. You will need likely need it. (You should make one anyways). My hard drive went to trash within the month and a quick replace (got one from Amazon) and I uploaded my recovery USB and i fixed it myself. No problems since, I run heavy programs from time to time like Steam, adobe, i have multiple windows open etc. Once i fixed the hard drive I was good but I'll probably update it some more with new fans and such. If you want a skeleton to build on this is a cool computer. If you need a working computer this is fine for simple stuff too(until it gives you issues). Tech support was a little irritating because all the tests I ran they asked me to do again and they woulda sent me a new hard drive but they're 50 bucks and i upgraded my space to 2Tb soooooooo yeah. Overall it's okay. Knocked off two stars because my hard drive and my graphics card needed to be replaced within the month. The computer itself is 8 years old, as long as the motherboard works you can fix it and upgrade as much as you like.

DO NOT BUY!!!! Won’t Connect to Internet
I have not been able to use this computer at all because most of what I would use it for is done online. It will connect to the internet when it starts up or is rebooted, but will not stay connected. I have to reboot it every time I need the internet. It also has a noisy hard drive. It rattles incessantly. I use a wireless keyboard and mouse and have had issues with the keyboard not working as well. It works fine with my other computers but when connected to this one, it will work for a little bit then start skipping typed letters and putting multiples of other letters and just going crazy. I would definitely NOT recommend this computer and wish I never purchased it because of course by the time I got my husband to set it up for me the return window was closed.
