Easy enough install, It was more work to remove the old gasket.
So far so good. It's spring right now and a super rainy week so we will see how it works by the end of that.Typically for me to see water under my seat, it would have to rain pretty hard.. but I was seeing it way more consistently recently so I figured why not replace it. This has to be one of the most common problems, you see people talk about the leak on fb to reddit to the forums.-Bring a flathead screwdriver, and some ISO alcohol to make this go quick.-Take off the light, unplug it and have a seat.-Use the Flathead and Alcohol to remove the residual crusty crap from the old gasket that's left behind.-The way I put it on was, I started on a corner, did the easy bottom section then did the top last. The top needs a little tuck so that helped.I will edit this in a week or two and update this with the seal quality. If everything is still dry and water resistant, I'll let ya know.

Must have with the Dodge trucks
The factory gasket on the third tail light on my 2017 shrunk and I had water leaking into my truck. Fixed it and it worked great!

Watching a quick YouTube video, I ordered this instead of making a gasket. I installed this gasket in minutes and haven’t experienced any more leaks.

Fixed the leak
Installed and tested with water hose. No leaks. Thumbs up.Only gave four stars because it truly appears no different than the factory original gasket seal that lasted three years. Foam material and same thickness.I'll have to keep an eye on it as I expect it to last just about as long.

Does NOT fit 2012 Ram 1500 Sport
The gasket does not properly seal the 3rd brake light on the 2012 Ram 1500 Sport. The Ram 3rd brake light module fit to the truck body is a poor design by Ram as it requires a gasket seal that is thicker at the top of the light than at the bottom in order to properly seal. This HERCOO gasket is a single thickness, so that when I applied it to the light and then re-installed the light, there was at least a 1/8-inch gap between the back of the light and the body of the truck. Water could run right into the truck cab roof. So, I got scissors and cut additional gasket material and glued it to the top of the initial gasket. Not sure if this is going to seal it properly or not - waiting on rain - but nonetheless this is not how a properly sized gasket needs to be installed. I don't know if the original OEM gasket was properly sized or not, but it leaked for years, and when I replaced it, it was in such poor condition that I seriously doubt it.
