Super Rabbit Boy Powers Up! A Branches Book (Press Start! #2) (2)

My son is hooked on these books. He was not an excited reader, so finding something that is fun is great. This did the trick.

My 7 year old loves all the Super Rabbit Boy books. He is trying to get the entire collection. He loves that he can read it but that there are also pictures ( he reads but he is lazy and doesn’t like to read a lot at once) he is more into comic style books. These are perfect! They’re hilarious and keep his attention so he can read the entire book!

My son (7 years old) loves these books. These books were suggested by his first-grade teacher for over the summer reads. They are a second-grade level so some words give him a challenge but he is getting better the more he reads. I would recommend for rising 2nd graders.

My son begged me to pre order this and was BEYOND ecstatic when he came home from school and it was here. He immediately started to look through the book and announced that even though we were in the midst of another chapter book, this was the book to be read at bedtime, and boy did it not disappoint. This is an awesome book that entertains, short easy to read chapters with vivid pictures. Now to wait until October 31 for the next one to come out....

My 6 year old son absolutely loves these books. They are easy enough to read that a beginning reader can read with some help. They have very engaging stories for kids who love video games. My only complaint is that this particular book started falling apart the first day. We have had to continually tape the pages back in. My son is not hard on his books at all and rarely have we had to mend other books. I can only assume that the binding was not right on this one. We have since replaced it since it is his favorite book.

The book is entertaining and has lots of colorful drawings. The concept of the game play might be a little advanced for younger kids (or kids who do not play video games). There were some nice lessons in the book as well like perseverance and sharing.

My 6y.o. loves this series of books. I think it's a clever idea to make a book for kids by incorporating video game idea (what could be better for the modern kids to get them interested in reading). We bought one of these books at the book fair, he read it by himself that night and we had to buy more. He loves these books and I love that he's reading on his own.

Great book boys learning to read. Engaging story with some pictures. Short chapters and good quality pages.

Our 10 year old really struggles with reading, he's 1 or 2 grades behind and is intimidated by chapter books. Normally he likes to read Dog Man, but we don't find those books to be a great option because the comic book style isn't really teaching him how to read full sentences. We bought the Press Start Series hoping it would branch him into chapter book reading, and we were right. He loves the books and his reading and confidence is improving while he goes through the series. We really enjoy the illustrations as well.

My third grade girl only likes books she can read in one sitting and prefers lots of pictures, I have tried lots of books to get her to read more and she is enjoying this series.
