Very nice small cutoff saw from DeWalt. Plenty of power for abrasive blade. Easy to handle. Did not notice vibration in use. Looks to be very durable.

Nice saw I purchased it for cutting 1 inch foam insulation sheets for my pole barn . It was hard to find a blade for ply wood [which would have worked best for my application].found some blades on Amazon that are carbide so they tend to heat and burn the wood and tends to kick back more on the syrifoam board .I have to lay a straight edge down on bead board to get a straight cut. I think it's mostly the blade that's causing the kick back.the saw comes with three blades and it works great for conduit.

I have owned DEWALT tools for about 10 years. I have always found them to be reliable and long lasting. I needed this cutoff saw to cut an exhaust pipe that was hanging under a car in a junk yard. Too far away to string a power cord, and too small of a space for anything I owned to do the job. The saw cuts very quickly and isn't overly rough on the cutting blades. My Dremel tools (corded) go through cutting discs way too fast. So no problem hear with the DEWALT. The saw also did not draw much on the battery. I had the saw on for probably 15 minutes total. I do have one issue with the saw: The speed on the blade rotation is really fast. I don't know if it has to be that way, but I would prefer a variable speed or maybe a 2 or 3 speed. Some jobs require a more gentle touch and a slower RPM option would make it better. I did not have an extra hand to video my work, but perhaps on the next project I can make an addition to this review.

This little cutter is awesome 0 kickback. It shuts down before it will twist and snap the cutting disc. You just gotta let the tool do the work. One hand cuts are common and easy. Compared to a 4 inch grinder with no blade guard. It's balance is spot on even with a 6 ah battery. I doubt I'll ever use a 4 inch or 6 inch cut off wheel again. It blasted through a 1/4 steel plate with very little effort. Almost no vibration at the start and throughout the cut. Feels very safe. The DeWalt all metals disk it came with didn't do that great on 1/4 aluminum. It started plugging up the disk. Which is common w cutting aluminum. This thing would be perfect for using in the field. Cutting tops of posts.. whatever. Totally worth it. After using it once. I would pay double what I paid. It's that good.👍

I WAS PLEASED INITIALLY BC IT ARRIVED EARLY. I HAVE A DEWALT 60V. FLEXVOLT FULL SIZE 4.5"-6" ANGLE GRINDER BUT IT CAN BE A HASSLE TO DEPLOY FOR LITTLE JOBS THAT POP UP. THIS CUTTING TOOL IS LITE WEIGHT, SMALL, CONVENIENT, GETS INTO HARD TO REACH, SMALL PLACES BUT THIS THING PACKS A POWERFUL PUNCH THROUGH A MULTITUDE OF MATERIALS & SUBSTRATES. GREAT FOR TRIMMING TILE THAT GOES AROUND A KITCHEN BACKSPLASH RECEPTACLE, BATHROOM SHOWER FIXTURES, TOILET FLANGE etc.. CUTS CONDUIT, REBAR, ALUMINUM TRACK, BRICK, CONCRETE, STONE, ALL IN A LITTLE 3" POWERHOUSE THAT CAN BE QUICKLY & EASILY BROUGHT TO BEAR. I am a diver and needed to cut many tiles both internal and external, and also for small wood pieces. I was deciding between the compact DeWalt saw and this cut off tool, in the end chose this, based on: 1. Size - this thing is super compact and light, as a result, it is very easy to control with 1 hand. 2. Saw blade - the DeWalt compact saw is also amazing, but for wood cutting mainly and the blades are limited. 3. The power - don't be fooled by the size, this little thing throws a punch and cut through tough porcelain 3cm external tiles like butter. Paired with 5Ah battery, it gets the job done. However due to the size and design, one could argue an angled grinder might be more versatile as one cutting tool to rule them all. I don't disagree. But with my usage which focused on cutting straight line with ease, this I think will be better than an angled grinder. So, happy days. Cannot wait for my next project.
