Oster Professional Burgundy Cordless C76 Clipper

I have used this for 6 months before this review. I have used the corded version for years. I was wary buying this because of reviews.. that being said.. I love these clippers! I do almost 20 haircuts a day. No issues with these at all. They are loud. No way to make them quieter, I suppose. But, they will blast through any kind of hair. Never have needed another battery. Just stay on the charger while I'm working. This item has my recommendation.

This is an excellent clipper. I am new to this hair cutting game so I had zero clues about everything hair cut pertinent. A little homework on the internet and a fair amount of reviews and instructional videos on YouTube said Oster was a respectable brand in the eyes of professional career barbers so I opted for it since I believe in reliable and robust products.I have only used it once but My experience with this is nothing short of excellent. It does not pull, tag or cut your skin even though I was using a size 000 blade (although I think my personal preference is size 0000).The battery lasts 120 minutes (per the manual) and thats more than enough for me. It comes with a charging cradle with an 8 feet long cable so it stays in there while not in use. I am extremely happy with it for now and I hope it will last me a long time as it is fairly expensive but if it lasts years and years of use then theres plenty of value to be enjoyed.

Very loud and not enough power. They struggle to cut through hair no matter if it’s fine textured or thick. Too heavy and not comfortable to use.

This perfect for the guy who shaves his head every week. Some reviews talk about how loud this unit is - that is just not relevant for a single user situation. This is a great personal grooming clipper. Buy with confidence.

Update: Oster replaced my clippers. It took a few weeks to have them replaced but as of December 2025, they have held up great. I did just have to replace the battery itself. But that’s to be expected. It’s been a full year and I’m happy about still so with them. I can’t see myself using a different clipper.Bought product in October 2023. The battery died after just over a year. I do not work full time hours, and I work in a very small town. So they are not going 24/7 while I’m at work. Thankfully they are still under warranty and I will get a new battery replacement. But I have to send the whole unit in to be inspected which will leave me at least 20 days with no clippers. Osters seem to not last. I was a corded classic 76 user before going cordless and those never lasted much over a year either. The screws would come lose on them creating a major rattle where the blade connected. And they never held up after that. Over all I liked the cut and the freedom on not being attached to a cord. But. I think it’s time to try a new brand of clipperDecember 2024: none of my clipper blades will stay locked into place. Trying to get a hold of Oster to use the warranty has been a nightmare.

Good clipper so far. Been using it for about 2-3 weeks steadily, easy to handle.

Works great wish I had bought them earlier

I really wanted to love these clippers because having a cordless 76er is incredibly convenient. The battery life is solid, and they are noticeably quieter than the original corded 76er, which is a nice improvement in a busy salon setting. Unfortunately, the biggest issue is a serious one: the blades repeatedly pop off the base in the middle of a haircut, which ends up pulling the client’s hair. That is not only frustrating, but also uncomfortable for the customer.I’ve used the traditional 76er for over 16 years, and while the cord was always my biggest complaint, I never had this kind of issue with blade security. Something clearly changed with the cordless design, because using the same blades now causes daily problems. After only 3 months of use, I’m already at the point of needing to replace them, which is very disappointing.

If you have used the corded 76 and you liked it, you will be pleased. It is having the same power and utility in a lightweight version. Great product recommend to buyCustomer experience was great. Item arrived on time.

Todo ok

It cuts well but I dropped it to the ground about 2cm of range and stopped working. Very disappointing. It seems very fragile product.-----it was fixed by support teams without hassle. Now it's working again!
