Easy to install and works perfect!
------ why i was looking for this product----- I live on campus in an apartment right by some frat and sorority houses. I underestimated how loud they would get on the weekends and even the middle of the week. I thought I'd get a head start before they all come back from winter break to make some changes to avoid some of their nuisances; one of these being the lights. The street lights are on anyway, but when they party the lights from their buildings and leds shine into my window. I live in the basement part of my complex so my window is high up and there's really no way to completey block the light. The cops also come very often because of underage drinking, noise, or just general problems that go on during their parties. So I also have to deal with the bright cop lights . ---- why this?----- I saw this product during my search for a curtain. Im not allowed to drill holes or even use adhesive or tape here, but we use command strips anyway. I was going to get adhesive curtain rod holders, a curtain, and a rod, but there's not much space or flat area to place it on my windows. It's also above my bed and I didn't want to get wacked in the head if it happened to fall. This product looked easy to place, was affordable, and looked like an actual black out curtain. ---- application---- It was super easy to install. I didn't have fabric scissors but my regular cheap scissors worked fine to cut this. My scissors glided smoothly during the cuts. I will note that I didn't notice one of the rods was bigger than the others, so I taped two together. I was about to tape the 3rd when i realized it just slides in. So i took the tape off and just slid the two smaller ones into the bigger one. The velcro was very easy to install and sticks great! I was worried it wouldnt stick well on my window because 1) the wall is cold from the snow, and 2) there's no flat space. It wasn't a problem and the curtain adhered just fine. ----- use ----- The clips work perfectly for holding the curtain when you roll it up. The light is completely blacked out. I included a video to compare my two windows. I only bought 1 to test it but now that I know what a great product it is, I'll be ordering a 2nd one for my other window. I got this one on sale for $13 but it was originally $19. Either way, the value matches the price, and its a great solution for anyone looking for a cheap but quality fix to light blockage.

SUPERIOR blackout solution
So far, I have purchased 3 of these on separate occasions. They are great with blocking out the light completely. My husband works night shift so I needed something to block the light for our east facing bedroom window. It also keeps our hot beach sun from baking us in an oven warming up the bedroom. Super easy to install. Super easy to roll up to allow light in. I wish I would’ve found these sooner. Installed by myself in about five minutes. For a standard size window there was no need to cut to fit. Even if it’s a little wider than the window it’s just serving its purpose that much more.

Nice shades not so good adhesive
The shades are good and block out the light well. The best part is they are easy to install and you don't need tools. The one issue is that you need stronger adhesive. Mine fell down. So if you buy these you must get your own velcro or a strong double sided tape. Which can be a bit inconvenient.

Really keeps the heat out!
Works great. I bought one large navy blue one and split it for the 2 patio doors. Was not sure about the black back but it works great. I use cute hair clips to hold them up. Really keeps the heat out in summer!

Slept like a baby!
They block out my room entirely! I was able to sleep like a baby throughout the night and didn’t even notice it was past my wake up time! Easy to assemble.

Very Nice And Great Price
I have Venetian blinds installed so needed blackout curtains that fit outside. I found them extremely easy to install though had to keep clips separate when down so goes all way to the sill. Also found that they kept the room warmer than without. I have a MBR that faces west and in summer we stay light to 9:30 but I will be even using these in winter as well. I admit I had my doubts. But I am very pleased and in fact ordered to more for windows I can use on as well. I even used the extra from short window as roof for my pup's dog cage which she loves to sleep in with door open of course.

Does not come in the exact size…you must cut and assemble on your own.
It blacks out the room well, the material is thinner than expected and the Velcro is nice. I thought the size ordered would be exactly what I needed, but it is not. Instead, it is a large piece of fabric that can be cut to the size you want…it must be cut straight or it won’t sit right in the window, that is difficult and time consuming. The assembly is not as easy as it looks…it was nice they provided two clips for rolling, which has to be done manually each time, but if you have blinds, it does push the blinds up and depending on window type cannot be centered. Some sort of Velcro hanging from both sides would have been nicer…last note, you have to assembly the acrylic rod that goes inside the bottom edge. It requires two sizes of rods and the sizes does affect the roll up process and the curtain hangs crooked….all in all…works to black out the room and Velcro hang up is simple but over all design and assembly is not as expected and requires a lot of work.

Worth the money.
They're alright. They're kinda cheap. Stick, roll them out, cut or clamp at length. It's nothing fancy but I have two. It's a quick and easy way to get blackout curtains without adding a curtain rod. I haven't had them come off at all, either by the desk or over the bed. Even with kids moving them around, etc. Overall not bad.

It does what it says, but way over priced for what you get. Super cheap low quality material. Someone built this out of spare parts in a garage.
