Surprised
Surprised at the quality of construction. Wood is soft but is reasonable for this play set. Many bags of screws, washers, bolts, etc included. I did not need to run to a hardware store. All packaged individually as to their application and well marked with part number. Almost all packages included one more item than needed. Very helpful if you loose one during assembly. I might have missed this point in the instruction assembly book that each board was marked with the necessary part number on the end of each board. Very helpful in finding the correct board. Assembly book was very well diagramed and easy to follow. Instructions recommend treating the wood with a preservative once a year. It did take about eight hours to assemble. There are a couple of times a second person makes the work easier. But most work can be easily done by one person. All metal hardware appears well made. Most of the wood is already pre-drill with holes to aid in assembly. Only ones not pre-drill were for application of 1/2 inch screws. I’d buy again and would recommend to others.

Nice sturdy playset for younger children
It comes in two long thin boxes needs two people to carry. The wood is all pre cut and mostly drilled with holes. The wood is kind of light and cheap. I split two pieces while assembling, I was still able to use the pieces but you have to be careful. I used the video that you can download it to assemble. But half way through i felt it was easier to use the written instruction book. Its nice that you have to choice too use both. I thought the written instructions were very easy to read. You really need an impact drill and a regular drill to assemble. Not sure how you could do it without those two essential tools. The kit comes with the proper bits. It took me 10 hours to put together. You might laugh at me but that's how long it was for me. Now if you had help maybe someone gathering the pieces and handing you tools and the wind is not blowing everything around you might be able to do it in 4 but good luck. The instruction says 4 hours but a lot of time is spent just looking for the pieces. I did the whole thing by myself. There are a bazillion pieces to this kit. It is all very well marked but still its a challenge to gather what you need for that step. Finally after assembly the kit comes with 6 skewers that you screw in the ground that attach to the frame of the swing set. I thought this was a very nice touch. It really secures it, this is where you need a drill the holes for the skewers you have to make yourself. As i said the wood is cheap but once put together it felt rock solid. I was surprised and pleased as i tested it and felt no sway or give. Also just so you know this set is for younger children. Its smaller then your regular swing set. I'm 5'4" and my head can touch the top bar for the swings. Time will tell but I'm happy with this purchase and wanted to give someone an idea what to expect. I added my own monkey bars and swing seat. did not come with kit.

Perfect for toddlers!
Was looking for an affordable swing set for our 2 year old & this hit the mark! Took about 6-8 hours for my husband to put together by himself.pros: cost, swings/rock-wall & slide, aesthetically pleasingcons: some pieces of wood cracked, a bit small.. will likely need to upgrade once he’s 5 or so. Wish the swings held more weight as he’s always wanting mom or dad to swing next to him!Overall a very good, affordable swing set for toddlers.

PERFECT for our 3 year old! Very well built and sturdy and love the smaller size!
I couldn't be more pleased with the purchase of this swing set!!! As long as you have people to help with assembly, I say BUY IT NOW while it's still in stock! It was by far the best quality one for the money and I spent hours and hours searching online.INSTALLATION: it took 4 of us around 6 hours total (including cleanup) to built the swing set and we worked right along, organized everything quickly, with multiple drills and no hang-ups so I'm not sure the 4 hour thing is realistic unless you're used to building swing sets as a job. That being said - laying out the wood on tarps organized by letter and the bags of hardware in numerical order (you can just use the lid of the small box) was really helpful so we could quickly locate parts and not get frustrated. They recommend screwing the base piece of wood on the slide before you put the slide together - this didn't make much sense to us so we pieced it together, then drilled and it went super fast and required no extra measuring/guesswork.ENJOYMENT LEVEL: Our 3 year old LOVES this!! The chalkboard is excellent - the chalk (not included) shows up so well on the plastic board - all chalkboards should be made out of this stuff lol. The rock wall is so cute and easy for young climbers to learn on and there's plenty of space to hang out in the tower or underneath it. We added a pirate wheel and a play telescope and he enjoys both of those aspects but they are definitely not necessary.SAFETY: As a parent, my favorite thing is that this isn't a humungous swing set so I'm not worried about him climbing up alone into the tower or being in the tower even if we are in another part of the yard or watching through the sliding door - I feel safe with it being closer to the ground than some of the larger, more expensive ones. The slide also isn't too huge so I'm not worried about him falling off of it. The fort in general is very well enclosed with the wood bars and mesh on the sides. I REALLY like that for his age, the fact that there is only one side that's really open of the fort so there's no accidental falls out of it backwards or anything. I'm 5'4" and weigh 135lbs and can swing on it (it does sway and the wood makes noises more with me, but it supports me just fine!) and I also can fit up in the little fort with him. The slide is narrow so I cannot fit down that but the sturdiness of the entire set is great and we are very pleased with it! My dad weighs just under 200lbs and also could sit on the swing - he didn't really swing - just sat - but it didn't have a problem holding his weight.EXTRA: We also added cute little solar deck lights to the side and the top and they worked out really nicely. Very nice swing set for young kids
Very nice swing set for young children. Bought this for my almost 3 year old granddaughter and she loves it. She is able to climb the ladder, walk over the platform and get down the slide by her self. We added a baby swing and a bar with rings and she goes right to town on those. It took 3 adults,( 2 seniors and baby’s dad ) to assemble the unit working at a leisurely pace on a hot afternoon about 3 hours. I sealed all the wood pieces a week before we assembled the set. Instructions were clear but there are a lot of parts. Overall very pleased with the set.
