Endless Black and White Photographs
A book of endless black and white photographs ... all exterior shots with very limited text. If you like to browse a book of residential architecture .. then this is a book for you. The authors have complied every house you have thought about, and many obscure ones as well. However, if you're hoping for a more detailed account of WHY .... showing plans, sections, interiors and more ... then look elsewhere.

For the arrogant minimalist
And what minimalist isn't arrogant? No but really, it's a good looking coffee table book assuming it's the only thing on your coffee table.

The images tell the story
I was enticed to purchase this book based on a blurb in the Wall Street Journal. My expectation was greater than the book delivered.I'm not an architect and I was looking for more verbiage. This book, and it's a strength or a weakness depending upon your view, is primarily images illustrating how modernist architecture has retained common elements over multiple decades. And that's fine.I was expecting more.

Excellent source for AFOL into LEGO Architecture!
I love this "accidental find". I came across the book when searching for a Eurorack synthesizer module called Ornament & Crime. Since I am an AFOL (Adult Fan of LEGO), I ordered this book and have found it not only well written; but, a great source of architectural inspiration while building LEGO buildings.Don't mind the odd binding on the book although time will tell if a book binding like this will stand repeated use. Great book though.

I thought it was really striking that the curators had decided to make all the images monochrome, to illustrate how timeless the projects were. Projects from the last decade were indistinguishable from those from up to 100 years ago, and was a refreshing reminder of how these hardworking buildings have lasted as things of beauty
