Fits Toyota Mini Truck/ Light Pattern Complaint 4.5star
Fits: 1985 Toyota Pickup. These lights a really great! Sealed beams on my truck are a pain to replace so as long as these last, it will be nice to never have to do that again! The halogens do give a little more light than the sealed beams, and replacing the h4 bulb is dreamishly easy. I can put 100w/55w bulbs in these for offroading so I will have legal low beams and extra oomph high beams, and just swap out the bulbs to 55w/60w for completely street legal use. Although since they are not DOT approved they are technically legal anyways, which is a risk. That being said, I admit to running the 100w/55w bulbs all the time, and I am extra vigilant to not blind people. I usually drive with my low beams on, especially around corners. The low beams: The low beam pattern is beautiful! Much better than the sealed beams ever were. All the light is diffused widely so that the side of the road is actually lit up as well as in front of you, and the beams have a very defined cutoff line.... sort of. My one complaint about these lights is that each bulb refracts a little bit of light upwards and to the right on low beam. (I assume for illuminating road signs) While this should be a nice feature, Hella's execution of this feels somewhat poor. If I shine the beams on a wall, there is a very defined cut-off line with two triangles sticking up, which means that if I adjust the low beams where I want them I will from time to time shine them in somebody's eyes. For this, I would reduce one half star from my rating, but I must round up to 5 since my overall experience is very good. The high beams: The high beam pattern is like to driving lights going strait down the road with a very large diffused bit above that. This is great for off-roading since my fog lights illuminate up close, and it's very nice to be able to see whats above me a little. Having a 100w beam for off-roading is quite nice, and I would have a hard time ever going back! Be carefull if you do put a higher output bulb because you don't want to burn anything up. My factory wiring was just fine, but I had replaced the headlight relay with aftermarket that wasn't big enough and it burnt out after a few hours of use. That can be a very dangerous situation, so I strongly recommend doing some checking before you just over-amp your system.I wish I could compare these to other headlamp kits, but hopefully this will help you make an informed decision about these ones. I would still rather have these than others that I saw, but that may be just brand loyalty talking. Either way, these look the same as stock and are still made of glass which is a must for me. If your looking at upgrading your sealed beams, just do it if you can afford it! You won't regret it.

Hella good lights
Swapped out my first gen 4runner sealed beams to these and added LED bulbs, the housings were a direct replacement and fit perfectly. Wiring depends on your application, so if you don't know electrons make sure you have H4 wiring already. The quality of beams from these housings is incredible, solid cut off line on lows so I don't blind other drivers and the light goes where it should, and absolute lasers on high, lighting up the road for several hundred yards. These are a great way to bring your old car into the new age of quality lighting, and surprisingly affordable too.

Great set of lights!
Very neat pattern. I didn't know you could get such a sharp cutoff like that without projectors. They work great in bad weather too because they don't light up snow and fog above the hood.I use these in my 98 Jeep Cherokee with a bypass harness and a pair of Sylvania Silverstar Ultras. It's really amazing how much better the light is.PROS:- Great light pattern. It is a crisp horizontal cutoff with a 35 degree wedge on the right side of the road- Made out of glass (won't scratch up or fog)- Easy to install with many bulb options- Vastly superior to sealed beamCONS:- Not DOT-approved. Use at your own risk in the US, though I doubt a cop or inspection station will notice. They are designed for foreign markets where they drive on the right side of the road (like America.) These will not blind other drivers, and are arguably superior because of the better cutoff and lighting for the side of the road.- Made out of glass, so they are at risk of shattering, and replacements are Hella pricey.Final note: these will fit any application where a 7x5" sealed beam light is used.

Hella Conversion Light Kit
Vendor was able to ship and delivery was ahead of schedule, Yay!The items were carefully packaged and arrived in mint condition. Installation was simple and expedient, similar to installing an OEM sealed beam.Performance, here is the difference! A much longer field of light on the roadway. Using the 55/60 watt lamps that were included, the difference was a pleasant welcome from the original H6054's. Low beam is much nicer in overall vision on a dark, unlit roadway. A small splash of light to the side does cause a deer's eyes to glow and alert a driver to their presence for safety, nice feature. High beam is awesome as it lights a much longer distance that the originals were not able to illuminate. At the wattages of the supplied H4 lamps, OEM wiring has the ampacity to cover the needs. High wattage lamps will require an aftermarket harness and relay arrangement since the current required is more than double the OEM and 55/60 watt consumption.MUST ADJUST HEADLIGHTS AFTER INSTALLATION!!! PROPERLY>>>Appearance is very nice. Construction is all glass, no plastic crap, real, bona fide g l a s s! Genuine quality.

Excellent upgrade for Jeep XJ
Swapped out the stock headlights on my Jeep Cherokee XJ. Much brighter than stock. Install was very simple, though it took a little time and a few test drives to get them aimed properly. A little WD-40 or penetrating oil soak on the screws will make this much easier.Low beam coverage is excellent, and the little bit of "flare" off to the right is just enough to pick up road signs, without being blinding. Only complaint is that the high beam pattern is a little too high, but it's not terrible, and still much better than stock.Better pattern, more light, and many more bulb options (and lower cost to replace when they burn out), makes this a great upgrade.Be aware, however, that if your state does regular vehicle inspections, these are not DOT approved.
