The punched butterfly dimensions are 1 3/4" high from lowest wing point to highest wing tip and 2 1/16" across from one top of wing to the other top of wing. In short, it is approximately 2 x 2 inches. The design is attractive, and the punch works well. Hope this answers your question.

Is this device capable of punching through credit cards or hotel room keys

No, is not, is made for paper, if you are lucky ,probably you can do it a few times (2-3times) but after your punch wont cut anymore. I use it in a very fabric, and it didnt work well, so imagine on a credit card :s

Probably not.I dont believe that any of the punches on the market would do felt. They are just not designed for it.
