Just Buy It!
Despite the fact that I was shipped the incorrect shade (the Amazon warehouse sticker said Soft Sable, but the mfg sticker underneath clearly stated Golden Tan) I still wanted to review this foundation. After I received my refund I went straight to my local drugstore and picked this up in the right shade. I am IN LOVE. I have combo/oily skin and it still works wonderfully. Not sure if it's because it's a moisturizing (without being greasy) foundation, it keeps my pores sufficiently satisfied, or what. But I don't notice any extra oil production.PROS: The finish is beautiful! A nice soft matte finish.Lasts all day.Transfer is minimalIt's loaded with things that are good for your skin.CONS: Shade range is garbage. Luckily for me, I'm Soft Sable in all Covergirl foundations, but they really need to expand their shade range.THE SMELL - if you don't like fragrance, you're probably not going to like the smell of this. It's like perfume and rubbing alcohol. It doesn't last after it dries down.Claims to be full coverage - but if you use a beauty sponge to apply, it's more like light to medium coverage. It's SUPER thick, and it seems like I'm going through the bottle rather quickly (I wear makeup M-F for work)I will definitely be adding this to my drugstore holy grails ♥

HG for Everyday Wear
Ivory is still a smidge too dark for me but it's not pink or orange. It has more of a beige tone which makes it look more like you got a little bit of sun instead of an oompa loompa. I really really like the formula. It has a bit of tackiness to it which gives my skin a very natural healthy look to it. If I apply finishing powder too soon it looks powdery, so wait a minute or two before you apply powder. I only have to touch up once throughout the day, twice if I've been really active. It doesn't cake or melt off and the coverage seems to hold up nicely after an 8 hour day. Surprisingly, it doesn't settle or crease in any of my fine lines under and around my eyes or in my laugh lines. I apply with my fingers to fill in my pores then i smooth it out with a damp beauty blender. This is the first foundation I've had that didn't make me look older or like complete crap at the end of the day and i don't have to use primer under it! Covergirl foundations are know for oxidizing so go one shade lighter if you can. If you need something for mature or dry skin and are looking for good coverage that looks natural, this is for you.

One of my top favorites
This has become one of my top favorite foundations. It does have a fairly strong scent, but I don't mind it and it's not unpleasant. High medium coverage when applied with a beauty sponge and wears pretty well. It does a good job of covering minor skin discoloration and redness and does not appear mask like. It is buildable. Every time I wear it my mom comments on how beautiful my skin looks -- my hair dresser also just told me the same the other day. It has become my no fail, go to foundation. Great formula for every day wear.

My Favorite
I discovered this product & perfect shade several years ago, but have had a hard time finding it. I was thrilled to find it sold on Amazon and the price is so reasonable.

Good product with terrible shades
The foundation itself is good but the colors are HORRID. I ordered the lightest shade available and it turned me pinky/Orange. I am not even that ghostly white. I am italian-American who gets very neutral light skin in the winter. I wear ivory in Rimmel foundations & ecru in the Estée Lauder double wear nude water based foundation. If you can find your shade & have skin with more pink undertones this may work for you. The coverage is great and it felt nice on my skin. But for my fair skinned olive or neutral skinned gals, this is a miss.

Good Cruelty Free Foundation
In the current cold climate I have normal to dry skin and this foundation looks really nice on me. It doesn't emphasize texture (which I have plenty of) /dry patches and provides solid medium- light full coverage in one layer. It's also easy to blend and sets down nicely without powder (I have used it with and without powder and like it both ways). My criticisms are that the lightest shade isn't quite light enough for my fair skin and I've seen an increase in whiteheads while since I started using this foundation. They're not too bad but they're in places I typically don't break out so I'm fairly certain this has triggered them. That being said I like this foundation enough to deal with it. I won't use it daily but it's definitely staying in the rotation.

Works beautifully on mid-40’s skin
As I’ve aged, I’ve struggled to find a good foundation that covers smoothly but does not cake or crack. This foundation has been a game changer. I apply it with a brush and it makes my skin look so smooth and lasts all day. It is light weight and does not irritate my skin. No caking, no flaking and no dry patches. Unless my skin changes dramatically, this foundation will continue to be my go to.

Love it!!
Its light weight with good coverage. Its not cakey, and gives a good glow without being too obvious. This is the only foundation that seem to cover me well, because my skin tone is uneven. I pay about $9 at Walmart, but they stop carrying it. Now I have to pay$14, but it's buy it, or keep returning foundations that doesn't fit. I do notice that it doesn't look right when I use a primer, so I use it without.
