Picture shows a laptop connecting to a VGA input with a HDMI to VGA cable. The VGA cabling goes under the floor and up through the wall where it comes out behind the screen. The screen only has HDMI inputs so I bought this adaptor to convert the signal back from VGA to 1080 HDMI. It utilises 5volts USB from the TV to power the adaptor.The results are great and a lot cheaper than re-cabling!Very good value.

Didn't work, tried another USB power cable but no success. VGA and HDMI cables verified working individually so it must be an issue with the coverter - Returned

Worked fine for a while - then decided not to.Investigation eventually revealed that the USB cable that ships with it had failed - fortunately, I had several replacements to choose from and it's fine now.Buy it at this price - but also make sure you have a back-up or replacement cable.

I was using an old o it or with a VGA connector to connect to a Tascam 2488 multitrack recorder with Prism card. I needed to replace a smaller monitor for my laptop and couldn’t find any decent ones that also had VGA alongside HDMIA standard JVC TV with 3 HDMI and this device allows me to connect the Tascam to HDMI 3 - it just worked straight away, so now I can get rid of the old monitor.
