Easy upgrade I didn't know I needed until I bought it, now I use it daily.
This simple adapter enabled me to consolidate my electronics while traveling. I am able to use this with the same USB-C 100W charger I use with my phone and tablet avoiding the need to carry a separate set of cords to power my HP laptop. This was an inexpensive solution that works well when traveling!

Excellent replacement of old cumbersome charging cord
This works perfectly for my HP laptop. Replacing the original HP charging cord is a relief since this USB C lays at a 90-degree angle to my computer casing, so the braided cable (I bought separately) hangs straight down along the edge of my laptop. This alleviates the constant pull on the internal port so there's far less stress on it and the mother board. This is a good replacement for the clunky original charging cord making it more portable. This must be paired with a 65W GaN block, and a 65 to 100W braided cable for it to work.

not reliable
I have tried this on two different HP laptops, and using two different types of USB C power supplies (of different wattages, including a 100 watt supply). This adapter simply does not work for me in any case. It will very rarely charge for a short time, but most of the time it does not work at all. Going back to my original HP power supplies.

It worked for my HP Laptop
Used this on my HP laptop to adapt to my HP dock that is equipped with a USB C cable. It does work and does effectively charge the laptop. I am still trying to get the dock to be recognized by the laptop so I can use multiple monitors, but that's a separate issue. The adapter does its job as far as working to charge the laptop through a USB C cable.
