Impressive filing cabinet!!!
I researched for a week to try an find a locking file cabinet for home files and such that was reasonably priced. Seeing the good reviews for this one, and that it was mostly fully assembled, I took a chance. I have to say I was so pleasantly surprised at how amazingly secure it was packed. There wasn’t one scratch or even tiny dent on the thing!Minimal assembly: The instructions are super simple with graphics. You just literally pull it out of the box and turn it upside down. Put a little weird metal ring (see pics) around the screw end of the wheel, use the wrench that comes in the small bag of parts, and screw the four wheels into the bottom of the filing cabinet. Now me not being particularly savvy with tools and such I had to ask my husband why the ring wasn’t flat but he said it flattens out when you screw it in so don’t try to straighten it beforehand (and then im sure giggled as i walked away)After the four main wheels are installed, there is a tiny front support wheel that needs to be attached. It just needs two screws and there is a small screwdriver included in the parts kit. You’re now basically done. Just flip it over and load it up!Cabinet Quality: The quality of this cabinet is perfect for what I need it for, just something for Home. The metal doesn’t feel cheap, but isn’t super duper heavy duty like maybe what you would find in an office. It is so easy to roll around and move out of the way. The drawers roll in and out fairly smoothly and arent clanky or cheap feeling. I love that it came with a pencil/paperclip holder in the top drawer! I bought the multicolor pack of legal size hanging folders on Amazon. They were like $16 or something like that and they fit perfectly for the bottom drawer.Lock Quality: this is my only ehh about this product. I wanted a cabinet that had a lock just “in case” I wanted to lock something. My opinion is if you have a rolling filing cabinet, someone can just roll that sucker right out the door lock or no lock, am I right? So a lock on something like this is basically just a deterrent for unwanted hands. Because the lock is on the top right side, the left side of the filing cabinet doesn’t feel 100% locked it…it feels like 90% locked because you can kind of pull it out a little bit. Just a little bit, if that make sense. When it IS locked, you cannot pull it open and get into it. But it wouldn’t be super hard to bust open with a screwdriver and some muscle. So here’s the bottom line: nobody could get into this without a key without you knowing. But they could bust it and open it moderately easily. So for me, the lock is just a cool thing that I may or may not use. And btw it comes with two keys :)All in all i am LOVING this cabinet!!!

Quality, Sturdy, Elegant. Perfect little office companion.
I was impressed with this cabinet from the minute I opened it.- It comes encased in thick foam and cardboard and plastic protectors for the edges so you know it's not going to come dented or scratched from delivery.- The setup took no time at all. You just have to attach the wheels to the bottom. It's a little heavy but ok for a single person to turn upside down.- The wheels are very high quality like nothing I have seen before. The cabinet coasts soooo smoothly. I love the addition of the little wheel on the bottom drawer to give it more stability. The other file cabinet I have does not have this and it tips a little when it gets front-heavy.- The steel is not the thing wobbly type. It's very sturdy and heavy. This is a solid unit.- The drawers have a little edge that makes it very easy to open and close. They also have a little bit of resistance when you close it right at the end. It seems to lock the drawers in and keeps them from sliding out when you move the cabinet. I also love this detail because that is exactly the opposite of my other cabinet which has drawers that fly open when I move it.I'm impressed and I'm going to buy another one to get a matching set. This is exactly the kind of investment I was looking for. Finally, a quality file cabinet that won't fall apart when I use it.I had so many problems with the wood kind that had pieces that would fall apart where the file holder was attached on the sides and all my files would fall off. I searched a long time to find a good quality file cabinet and this one really stood out to me. It's worth the investment! Don't waste your time with something cheap. It will only make your life more difficult and they are so hard to get rid of. They are so awkward to throw away or put in your car. Trust me I have been through so many of them. Just go for the sturdy steel and save yourself the anguish!

Utility file cabinet
File cabinet is solid. The bottom is fully enclosed. I like the size. There is enough room on top for my HP 2600 Inkjet printer. The only thing I did not like was how sharp the edges are at the bottom. I was careful unpacking, but I scratched my ‘new’ floors before I could get the wheels attached. 2 people would be best or set box on a rug. Open bottom then slide box off from the top.

Very impressed, great quality
Was looking for a good, under-desk solution to get items off my desk and house files. I would have preferred something wood, but you either have cheap quality particle board, Ikea with their insane shipping prices (if you don't have a local store), or you're paying several hundred for something. This matches the base of my Uplift Desk perfectly and fits in with the dark/wood theme of my office. The matte finish is, from what I can tell, flawless. No bubbles, lines, or other imperfections. The drawer slides are very sturdy and smooth. This is generally a pet-peeve of mine, its very hard to find a company that uses quality drawer slides. No they aren't Snap-On slides, but they are very good and this is a sun-$200 file cabinet. The drawers are solid, no flexing to twisting, and all 3 fully extend so there's no fishing in the back 1/4 of the drawer for unseen items. If I had to make one complaint, it would be the casters. They are cheap and don't roll the best, BUT...this is a common complaint I have with most everything that rolls. Unless you shell out a decent amount of money for quality made casters, you're going to have that problem. Definitely not enough to subtract a star, as this is just going to sit under a desk and rarely, if ever, be moved.I was skeptical ordering it, but it was on sale, so I figured why not. Very happy with the purchase and will likely buy another in the future.
