I am a lifeguard at my local city pool so I needed a whistle that would get patrons attention no matter what. This is the whistle! It has a crisp, LOUD, and clear sound. It takes only a minimal blow to produce a nice clean high pitched sound. The first time I used it, I blew it as hard as I could and it left my ears ringing for a good five seconds, so be careful. The sound exceeded my expectations. I also have the FOX 40 lanyard that came with it (in white). The pearly white faded about a week after use from sweat and dirt on the job, so if that is an issue you may want to choose a darker color. It is a sturdy lanyard and holds all of my keys to the pool (about 6) and my whistle, without coming unlatched in the back. The breakaway latch is made of plastic, but fits together exceptionally well and never comes undone unless you give it a forceful pull. The clip on the key ring is a bit smaller than I expected so keep that in mind if you are trying to pack a bunch of keys and other things on it. The solution would be to get a tad bigger clip and clip it on to the key ring on the lanyard. All in all it's a great product for the price and I had no regrets with my purchase. The seller was quick with the shipping and everything came packaged neatly and professionally.
