ROVSUN 9000 BTU Mini Split AC & Heater, 20 SEER2 Inverter Heat Pump 115V

Such a great mini split. Easy to install and I love the black cover as my studio where it is installed has dark walls, it blends right in and cools fantastically. Great price point as well. Cheaper than any of the big box stores. Definitely recommend.

I did a ton of research on minisplits, what I found is they are mostly all about the same. I went with a model that had some helpful videos on YouTube for installation instructions. I’ve now been using this Rovsun in the summer and winter months, it’s perfect. I even start it up on cold days from my phone so when I get out into my office it’s nice and toasty.

I bought two of these units at different times, about 4 months apart from each other for two different parts of our house and they both don’t work now and customer service has not been good. After having the units work a little while, they both started to have the internal parts freeze over. Then it was thaw and leak all over. Then it progressed to the units not cooling at all and the air conditioning not working so these units don't work at all now. I tried to get help from customer service about it and they gave me no solutions and offered a measly $20 off a new unit. $20 off when shipping alone is $100 is so low, why even bother offering it? And why would we want to buy new units for only a measly $20 off when both units we bought don't work and don't cool anymore? Don't bother with these cheap units and save your money on the better quality ones.

Remember to clean the filter that's very important Mine was blowing oddly the other day , it was just bc of the dirty filter , cleaned it and now it's perfect again. Update: My mini split was freezing up like little ice on the coils turns out there was a refrigerant leak, I had a HVAC guy come out and he said it was a faulty shrouter coil? Anyway a bad part that was bad from the factory It wasn't anything damaged, It cost me $125 for the call to get it fixed and $75 to add the refrigerant back. I emailed back and forth with the company , At first they offered me $40 but when I asked again and explained in more detail they were funded me the full $200, I'm happy that this company stood behind their warranty. Much respect to them

I've had my unit since 2023. Purchased it for mainly the ac, since working in a 20'x20' shop in the summer can get pretty warm. When winter came around and it started getting really cold. I didn't have a whole lot of hope in the unit being able to keep the shop even somewhat warm. But no it does a fantastic job keeping things from getting too cold when you dont want them too. Then crank up the heat and turn on turbo mode, its shorts and t-shirt weather in that little shop. There's only been a couple times (when it well below freezing with crazy windchill) that it gave out on me. But I also understand how these funtion and some of the requirements needed for these units to function. But let it sit a little bit and it works again fine.

It seems to be not producing enough cold. Maybe not enough Freon.

According to my husband - This unit was easy to install and has worked great for 6 months since being installed. Cools / heats my small shop perfectly. Wonderful value for the money especially compared to ones from big box stores. Also the customer service from the these guys was one of the best experiences I've ever had. I had one issue and it was taken care of promptly and professionally, I wish every company was this customer oriented.
