How often should you replace the filter sponge?

Depends on the quality of the water you use in the humidifier, and probably other factors. Manufacturer recommends 1x per month... I saw reviewers saying 1x per two weeks. YMMV.

How many sq feet does this cover?

I would say since we have a small LR (about 12 X15 ft that opens into a small sun room (about 10 X 10), I would have to say at least 280 sq. ft. Bearing in mind that the two rooms open up into our kitchen area (which also contains steps to upstairs), and is maybe 12' X 14'. There WAS a wall separating these areas years ago, but we opened a wall and installed an archway (opening about 4' X4'), space so ideally it could affect the kitchen some as well. So, pertaining to your question, Id feel safe to say about 300 sq. feet at least, considering (NOT adding the kitchen although it may be a factor). If your area is not open space, I would assume you could safely rely on that number.

Anybody know where i can find leviot 200s ( housing water filter? ) i seem to have misplaced mine while i was cleaning it out
