How well does this product work on the texture of gray hair?   how does it compare to joico defy damage masque, which i love?

Ingredients list 5 types of alcohol, including isopropyl which I know is extremely drying! Why alcohols & isn't your hair like straw???

Hi A. Thank you for your question. There are different kinds of alcohols found in the YouthLock Masque. Alcohols are used for a variety of reasons and not all alcohols are the type that can be drying to hair. Cetearyl and Stearyl Alcohols are solids known as fatty alcohols (not drying) which add structure and are used in almost all haircare emulsions. Benzoyl Alcohol is part of our preservative system, allowing us to eliminate older preservatives that are considered formaldehyde donors and/or parabens. And the Isopropyl Alcohol comes to us as part of a conditioning ingredient. During manufacturing and the heated phase of the formulation process, there is little to none left in the formula to have any drying effect once manufactured. Hope that helps clarify! ✨💕
