In my town, though the tap water is safe to drink, it is hard and has high mineral content that gives it a taste that some might find strange. The Brita products are a great help in removing the funny taste. I have used some regular Brita filter pitchers in the past, but many times it was difficult to tell when to change the filter. I often was the only user and I was not sure if a time based approach ( 2 month) worked because I was also traveling much and felt like I might not be using 40 gallons in two months. Also, in the old pitchers, I could not remove the top part (that holds the filter) to clean; after a few years, I would see deposits at the base of the container and it was difficult to clean. This pitcher addresses both these issues (replacement tracking, cleaning). I got this pitcher around 14 months ago and the indicator light still works great. As I had suspected earlier, I got the filter change indication for the first filter after more than 5 months, that suggests that I was underusing the filter in my old pitcher. Also, the top part can be removed completely and all parts can be cleaned to one's heart's content and I find that very helpful. Overall, a great, effective, and easy to use product, and a great value for money in the long run. It is large yet easily portable, more efficient due to the indicator light, and easy to maintain and clean; the material is strong and I do not see any cracking/chipping/scratching on the body. The two filters that came with it also added to the value.

My family are water drinkers. We have always used the Brita water pitcher or purchased bottles of water. I had to replace the one I had for over 6 years. There are other brands, but the quality, ease of use and water taste is top notch. There is an indicator light that lest you know when it is time to replace the filter, so you don’t have to play the game of writing it down. The 10 cup capacity means you don’t have to worry about refilling it after every other use and the sleek design means it fits well into your refrigerator. This fits right on the door in mine. No more plastic bottle waste!!

We are loving our Brita. We have public water and it makes it takes the chemical taste right out of it. Saving a bundle on bottled water. Couldn't be happier. No complaints on the pitcher, seems sturdy enough.

Now, a little tip from our experience: make sure you clean the inside of the pitcher every 2-3 weeks or so. We learned the hard way that if you neglect it, you might start to see some green stuff growing. But a quick wash keeps it sparkling clean. Overall, this Brita pitcher is a fantastic and reliable water filter. It's made our daily life easier and helped us be more eco-friendly. 5 stars!

I love this item. I had my last one for ten years ! I decided to finally buying a new one. It holds a lot of water.

I was so excited to open my new Brita but unfortunately the excitement would be short lived. I took the product out of the manufacturer’s box, took the plastic off and was looking it over to discover it was cracked at the top with shattered pieces falling as I put it back inside. It was IN the manufacturer’s box INSIDE of an Amazon box. Seriously! This is definitely a quality control issue at the manufacture. I’m now concerned about getting another one because the material used for this pitcher is so thin that I don’t want to receive another cracked product or worry that I may crack it in daily use. The whole reason why I got it was because of the positive reviews and I wanted to finally be free of purchasing water bottles! But now I’m second-guessing my life choices. I hope Brita sees this review and considers doing something about the pitchers’s thin material in the near future! Now I have to send this back, print a label, (I don’t have an at home printer) so have to go out of my way to print one AND drop it off at a UPS store as if I don’t have anything else I have to do in life. I too wanted to taste this fantastic water that the reviewers are beaming about but alas I guess it is not my time. 😭 Very disappointed. I wonder if Brita even reads the reviews on this platform?

I've been really happy with this pitcher. The water tastes noticeably better, it's easy to fill, and it fits well in the fridge. The filter lasts a good amount of time, and the build quality feels solid.

It works great, exactly what is shown in the picture. Water tastes 10x better, It is fairly quickly at filtering, and has a light to show you how the filter is doing! Incredible purchase!
