Kenda City Slick Mountain Tire K838,Black,26x1.95" Pair

This is second set I have bought. First set is still good after 4 years. Got this set for another bike asthese roll very smoothly and give good/stable grip. Easy to mount as they round out correctly.

I bought these tyres for my Wife's bike, as her originals had perished.AU$27 a pair delivered is a great price for Kenda tyres.I love the tread pattern on these tyres - it seems they are designed to have minimum road footprint while upright, I assume to try and reduce the rolling resistance.They are very chunky (wide) however - the standard semi-road tyres fitted to the bike originally (have added a photo of the old tyres for comparison) were 48.5mm wide, these measure 54mm. They have caused no rubbing issues though, even with the mudguards on the bike.I expected them to be a fair bit heavier, but I weighed them, and they were only 40grams heavier than the originals (910grams as opposed to 870grams).Overall, for the money, I am very pleased.

These are on a set of wheel for my wife's mountain bike for times when she wants to ride on the road so we did not want to dump a bunch of money into this setup for this amount of time they spend on the road.They are not meant for much more off road than grass but the are smooth, ride well and wear like steel. They are a very good tire, especially for the price. Fabulous in the wet on pavement too. Great value, nothing to complain about. Don't hesitate to buy them.
