Perfect Popcorn Popper for the Microwave
I was looking for a microwave popcorn that did not have palm oil in it. When I realized that was a fruitless endeavor I decided to make my own popcorn in the microwave. This popcorn popper does not require any oil so that is a good thing if you intend to just add your own melted butter. You avoid all the over salted popcorns out there. I put 1/3 cup popcorn in the center, put on the bowl on and set the microwave for 3 1/2 minutes. Worked perfect. The only thing I'd suggest is pouring the popcorn into a metal sieve and then transferring the popcorn back to the bowl handfuls at a time. This is so you avoid popcorn kernels that might not have popped. That is what I was doing even with bags of microwave popcorn. So I enjoy using this popcorn popper but I'd advise you be careful of the steam when opening. There is a way to release some of the steam by pressing down on the middle of the silicon lid. I still sometimes use oven mitts to open it however as there is a lot of built up steam. But otherwise I enjoy using this for movie nights.~The Rebecca Review

Amazing Popcorn Maker!
My husband and I really love OXO products, we have yet to find one we don't like! With that, we purchased this popcorn maker and it is SO awesome!! We absolutely love it! Not only is it easy to use but you can just use the clear bowl as the serving dish too which is very nice. It's also easy to clean. The only thing I was a bit bummed about after the first use was the clear plastic bowl had some marks on it from the hot kernels hitting or resting on it. That is my only complaint though. I do highly recommend this though if you're looking for a healthier way to pop your popcorn!

Works fine but doesn't vent the steam
I like it but it would be better if it could vent the steam while it’s popping so the popcorn doesn’t get soggy. There are vents on the red silicon piece, but it says that part needs to be on the bottom when popping. So the steam doesn’t really have a way to exit while it’s popping. Instead, water droplets collect in the bowl and when you flip it over, the popcorn gets wet.Measurements: I worried it wouldn’t fit in my microwave, but it’s only about 6 inches tall, and I think 10 inches wide. Totally fits just fine.Pro tip: If you pop your popcorn in a pot on the stove instead, use a mesh splatter guard as a lid, and it’ll let the steam escape while the popcorn pops and your popcorn will be crunchier.

The great intentions didn't hold up though
I had high hopes for this popper with the silicone base & no BPA in the lid. The great intentions didn't hold up though. After a couple test runs to get the time right (it is easy to bun if you're not careful) a problem developed. Once popped you turn the unit over to use the clear top as the serving bowl. That dumps all the unpopped kernels into the mix, and it's hard to get them all settled out again. Much too risky based on the cost of replacing a crown. OXO factory was not concerned about the problem when I brought it to their attention. Back to my Presto Power Pop which leaves the unpopped kernels in the bottom.

Bummer popcorn for sad movies
I was so disappointed in this popper. I was using a Presto Popper for many years but needed to replace it. This was a highly rated and I figured I'd give it a go. Unfortunately I feel like the resulting popcorn doesn't fully pop and it's really inefficient.

I don’t like soggy popcorn!
This review is for the OXO Popcorn Popper.I like that I can pop my own kernels instead of prepackaged microwave popcorn. I dislike that the popping process creates lots of steam inside the dome. The condensation/steam makes a layer of the popcorn wet and soggy. It does work a little better if I line the dome with a paper towel to soak up some of the condensation.

Works great if you don't follow the directions
This popcorn popper worked great for me using 3 tblsps of popcorn kernels and no oil. I usually use 3 tblsps of kernels in a brown paper bag in my microwave. It used to work good with my old microwave but when I moved to a new home and bought an over- the- stove microwave my old way to pop popcorn wasn't working so well anymore. Therefore, I decided to buy this popcorn popper. Using less than the 1/3 cup the manufacturer says to use in the directions, and using the popcorn setting on my Whirlpool convection microwave, I had very few kernels that came out unpopped.
