This was a replacement for an old rusted chimney cap and spark arrestor. I had a local sheet metal shop fabricate the chimney chase cover along with a reducer. Will be ordering another one for one of my other rental properties.

Fit my 14” pipe fireplace. Best to drill pilot holes as the base flexes, but easy to screw on (for those of us in hurricane or tornado areas - the last one blew off so I heard from the previous owner). Very nice looking, have had 4 fires in the fireplace so far and so far so good.

My sister was complaining about smoke! So we determined we needed a new spark arrester! The old one was not the right ventilation, the holes in the screen we too small. It was super easy to install! Us two ladies did together but a strong man can work it on his own!

It fit perfectly

Installed easy. It has tabs that snap in place on your triple wall pipe. We had very strong winds since installing and the cap did not budge an inch! We are very happy with this purchase.

Initially I liked the product. I put it on, and surprisingly it withstood very high winds. Problem is that the wire mesh around the cap traps creosote. I've had to go up on the roof three times, in three months to clean it out with a wire brush, otherwise my stove was smoking horribly. Usually I clean the chimney once every year or two.
