DO NOT BUY THIS, NOT WORTH THE PRICE!!!!!!!!!!
I am a college student who has to be as frugal as possible. I highly recommend going to Hobby Lobby, or Micheals, or Joanns because it's half the price of this and you get more yarn. Also, this product kind of sucks, the yarn was a smaller mm sized needle than advertised. once you start knitting with it, it feels fluffy but a little rough. Like an itchy material.

Stay away! Not worth your effort.
Bought it for my mom to make a sweater for my kid. The final product came out really pretty and the quality was super. It's a bit pricey, came out about 35$ for a kid's sweater.Fast forward 6 months, and a couple of cold washes (no dryer at all), it shrank once, then it shrunk again and then another time. A colossal 6inches shorter now that the younger sibling can give it a wear before it turns into a mitten. 😒 very disappointed. This product is such a farce. Stay away folks, wish i had read other reviews before.

Great, affordable wool yarn
I used to get this yarn with coupons at well known big box craft stores but they recently stopped carrying as many colors, if any! I'm relieved to find it on Amazon because I have a half-completed granny square blanket and prefer to buy a few skeins at a time. I love this wool yarn, it is soft and sturdy, and holds up well if you have to unravel a section and then re-do it. I have done other small projects like hats and scarves with this yarn and have found them to hold up really well in the wash, but I always remember to hang-dry, just to be on the safe side. It is definitely on par with much pricier yarns from higher-end shops. The price on Amazon fluctuates a little, but it is still usually right around the coupon price at other stores. The yellow shade is what I most recently purchased and I love it. It is a fun, retro shade of yellow and the color I see on the screen is pretty true to the real color, it might just be a shade darker or more orange than the skein in front of me.

Good brand, great color
I love Patton's yarn and have knitted several hats and scarves with it. The Jade has a very subtle heathering of gold to it that gives the color such great dimension. I was happy to find it on Amazon since I couldn't find it in my local stores (it's a color I bought several years ago). Unfortunately it cost a couple dollars more here than at the local store, but it will let me finish knitting the Christmas gift I started.

Damaged Wool
I have been a spinner for more than 30 years. The wool I received has apparent damage from moths and the paper band had been torn off. One other reviewer questioned that her wool had thick and thin spots. This yarn was not designed to be thick and thin, but rather a consistently spun smooth yarn and then plyed. I am upset that I was sent a damaged ball of yarn and that the shop would have known that it was not sellable when it was packaged. I ordered the same wool a couple of months ago from this shop and the wool was in perfect condition.

Other reviews are right
As others have said, this yarn feels ok. I’m not knitting anything to wear but it doesn’t seem too scratchy. But, it is very thin for a worsted weight yarn! It might be a DK. It’s noticeable thinner than the Patons red with the same label that I also ordered from Amazon. My main complaint though: I am knitting a Christmas stocking, I’ve got a bought 5” of tube and I am on my 4th piece of yarn from this skein. I have knitted for years, purchased a lot of yarn of varying qualities, but I have never had this problem before. I’d be a lot more upset if I was knitting a garment!

DIY dryer balls that smell good, too!
I used this to make my own dryer balls. You need to use pure wool, and just roll it up and wash it in hot water a few times to 'felt' it. Why pay someone else $15 bucks to do this, when you can buy a skein of wool, give the cats a few hours of fun, and roll your own? This color is dark, but I've had zero issues with the color bleeding onto the clothes in the dryer, all though I did use them just on dark loads the first few times. I usually add a few drops of essential oils to the balls before each load, it imparts a wonderful light scent to my finished laundry.

Nice wool yarn/Took a long time to receive
This yarn is a very nice product if you are wanting 100% wool. I am using this yarn for crocheted roses and then I am felting them. I got several different colors to make different color roses. If you are buying this ans want it in a decent time frame... don’t buy it from Junipers. If you have amazon prime and try to utilize your free shipping, this will not be the place to order from. They waited almost 2 weeks to even ship it... just because I refused to pay extra for shipping BUT it said that it was ready to go much earlier on the updates. Just an FYI.

I like the texture of the wool. Good for man outfits. I bought one and could made a pair of socks till the ankle for an adult man’s feet. If you will do sth bigger you need more
