No the bag is clear, but there is an outer shipping package that is not clear.

How wide is the front panel?

The front panel is tapered... of course. So it's wider at the top and thiner at the bottom. Buy it I'm loving it when my wife wears it. Kind of uncomfortable for her. But a real treat for me.
