Hazardous live sensor wire
Buyers beware. I rated these with one star because zero star is not available. The controllers are electrically unsafe. The sensor wire of these temperature controllers is not insulated from the AC power line, therefore, this can be hazardous if the temperature sensor is immersed in a liquid. Electrical wires sometimes have pinholes, and that would be sufficient to "electrify" water, if the sensor is immersed in it. I have used STC-1000 controllers before, and the sensors did not have the power line as a common wire. These models rated 110V-220V are a redesign of the original STC-1000 rated just for 120V, and in order to reduce cost, the new design eliminated the isolation transformer and many other parts that made the controller safe. Luckily I inspected the controllers before I put them to use, and returned them to Amazon.

Great little controller for the price
The media could not be loaded. My problem was strictly mine. I used solid 14awg wire when stranded would have been the correct type to use. Because of this the mount screw terminal blocks for the heater and power connection points came loose - again my fault. The awesomeness that the designers of this embedded into this excellent controller is repairability. Most things today are designed as disposable, it breaks tosss it out and but another. But not this little workhorse. Even with the end user abusing it, like I did, it's field repairable. As you can see by the attached photos, easily repaired. I also bent the back side of the PCB mounts over to instill a bit more durability.

Work as advertised, but interface is non-intuitive
These work as advertised. Be aware that they're Celsius only - you can't switch to Fahrenheit. The user interface is a bit complex for something with such a basic function, though - every time I change the temperature, I have to pull up the manual to remember how to do it, and it takes both of my hands to do it easily. On the other hand, I don't have to do that often, and they do keep the temperature between power cycles.

works
I have it for a while now. works great. have the 24v model. the coil is 24V DC but can use to connect 120v AC loads.

New Version, not 24v AC compatible
This product used to support 24v AC (control power), which it still specifies on the product page. The new version (darker plastic) does not work with 24v AC. Perhaps it works with 24v DC.Otherwise, they work well if operated continuously. Do not turn them off for any significant time or they will likely fail. I suspect they are susceptible to humidity. I have one installed outdoors (covered) that has worked continuously for 8 months, no problems. I have 12 inside (cellar) that only work if I don't turn them off.

Buy an Inkbird
Trash, you get what you pay for. I bought these to backup an Inkbird for a greenhouse that I've used for years, and it finally gave up during a freeze here in TX. First one fell apart during the wire installation, the second one stopped working in the middle of the night and I lost plants because the temps got below freezing.

CENTIGRADE ONLY, but otherwise a GREAT little temperature / ventilation (cooler) controller.
This is a VERY compact and easy to use temp/cool controller. Only downside is that it's CENTIGRADE ONLY. Harrumph!!! Here's a schematic on wiring it, a diagram about the operation, and a helpful text for programming it and FOLLOW them carefully. I found most of this online by searching STC-1000.
