Power Switch Ribbon Flex Cable Part for Xbox 360 Slim Console

I would really have liked any instructions to go along with this, but a vague iFixit guide and a blurry YouTube video were enough to figure out what to do. I hope this review can shed some light for you, too.Once you get your console apart, the small plastic retaining bar has to be pried off of the inside of the faceplate in order to get the eject button section of the old flex cable off. I put my console back together without replacing the bar, but you may be able to reattach it with some superglue where the plastic rivets were. I'm not sure how superglue affects capacitive touch sensors, so I didn't try it.The actual touch functionality works great, with no issues detecting my touch and no ghost touches happening like with the flex cable I replaced. The adhesive used is from 3M, and sticks well as long as you clean the plastic with alcohol and make sure it's dry before applying the new flex cable. Start from the eject button, line up the holes with the former location of the retaining bar, and press the cable down everywhere you can with your fingers, finger nails, or something like a Q-tip in hard to reach spots.Before you reassemble the whole console, give the faceplate buttons a test to make sure they work. Great replacement cable!

Fixed out X-Box 360 power and eject button as if OEM!

Replaced the old cable, now the eject button works again. Backing tape comes off easily, adhesive holds it in place perfectly, 5/5 replacement part
