No. It will only work on a putter.

It does have a magnetic closure, but you have to make sure you close it securely after every use, otherwise it tends to slip off easily and you might lose it.

Q: I have had the putter cover for 2 months and the magnets already came off, there are two holes on the inside. What should I do?

I have had 2 or 3 of this exact putter cover. The magnets break out of the black inside liner every time after awhile. I super glued the magnets back inside the liner, then put a couple pieces of black electrical tape over the liner holes made by the magnets. 4 rounds and no problem yet. Magnets are plenty strong, even with the extra layer of tape.
