The Reader

I bought this for my daughter who is a 2nd grade teacher. I hoped she would like it and use it in her classroom. And she likes it VERY much! The illustrations are beautiful and the storyline is great. And a big plus is that Amazon included a very detailed lesson plan on the order page! I know the children will enjoy this book immensely. Very good deal!

This was a very cute book. My 8 year old son enjoyed hearing it for bed time. It is cute how it talks of the adventures of a boy & his dog.

This is a lovely little story that children up to age 12 will easily relate to. The pictures are beautiful and the messages clear. Sometimes worthwhile things are hard, and sometimes you have to be patient for what you want, but in the end patience and effort pay off. There is joy in sharing those rewards with the people you love.

Loved the simple story. Evokes the special bond between aboyand his dog. The simple things they do together . In the snow then safely back home. An adult less world that is totally uncomplicated. Just dog and boy. Beautifully illustrated. A book to keep rereading. Lovely
