Mohawk 24x24 Stone Walk Brown Carpet Tile Square Glue Down/Floating 96 sqft

Very good quality carpet squares. I covered my patio floor with it. Used one box on a 10x10 floor. I had to cut a few pieces to fill in gaps but it was so easy. There are lines on the back of each tile to use as cutting guideline. I used scissors because I’m not too good with a straight razor/blade. There was no smell and the carpet is low pile (minimal thickness). It feels good to my feet too, much better than walking on bare concrete. I included before and after pictures. I did vacuum the patio prior to installing the tiles. I used the floating method, which worked out great. I placed all the tiles down first to ensure the pattern I wanted and make the fit as tight and flat as possible. I learned my patio walls and floor were not level or straight. That’s what made using these tiles the better option because they can be altered to fit the floor. I made sure all the tile corners were even and lined up before taping. I filled in any gaps, around the walls - between carpet and wall, with remaining pieces of carpet. I found ensuring the center of the floor was closed (aligned and gap free) made everything else easier to fix. I used the All Flooring Now Store’s double sided carpet tape. I used a little more than half the roll. I could have used less, by using shorter strips of, tape to connect the corners but it’s ok. I wanted to make sure they were secure. I cut five inch pieces, for each corner, to connect four tiles. Make sure to evenly place each corner on the tape and press down. I did not stick the tape to the concrete. So, I didn’t remove the protective strip from the bottom of tape that touched the concrete. I don’t think it would stick anyway. Man these tiles stuck well to the tape. You can reposition if needed. Just take your time and you won’t have to do that often. For the perimeter tiles, I used five inches strips to connect the top two corners to each other. This added extra security and ensured the top corners stayed flat. The material on the back, of each tile, is made to adhere to tape. This made the install easy and there was no shifting tiles. I did pay attention to the direction of the arrows on the back of the tiles. With a pattern like this, not sure if it made a difference thou. Install took less than an hour. It took longer to fill in the gaps, along the wall, and cut pieces to fit the odd shaped section of the floor. I love the results and would recommend these tiles to anyone.

We were looking for a somewhat temporary solution for one of our hallways, because the carpet that was there previously was too old, smelly and worn to be salvaged. It’s a hallway that has a small office that leads to a garage, so standard pile wall-to-wall carpet is a bad idea anyway. We want hard flooring, but don’t want to spend on it right now. After removing the old carpet I had drop cloths on the plywood, which looked terrible and was a tripping hazard as well…we have dogs and a college age daughter and they are very active and moving about so the drop cloths were getting twisted up a lot. This turned out to be a really good solution and looks a thousand times better too. Installation wasn’t as easy because the hallway is a “U” shape with two closets, five doorways and a cubbyhole. Because of all the doorways and turns, it was a challenge for me to figure out how to lay it out so that the tiles didn’t look too uneven (I tried to find the center of each area and go from there). For the most part, I succeeded but there was some cuts that were harder to make. I’d say get a large cutting mat and a razor type knife… you will need to change the blades a lot too, because if the blades dull down you will have a ragged cut or dangling yarn which is bad. I used a sharpie marker and did my cutting on the back. The fibers running through the back are not straight and can’t be used as a grid, sometimes that make me a little confused…like if I was tired or distracted. It took me about a day and a half to finish this job because of all the twists and turns. Some of the carpet squares don’t line up, that had been mentioned in other reviews. I wasn’t too concerned, I’m more interested in making a safe walkway in the least expensive way possible, while still having something nice to look at and wears reasonably. I did get the blue color, which depending on the lighting can look like a very dark denim or dark cool gray or even a purply blue, I actually really like it a lot. I got a damaged box for less than $100 and used double sided carpet tape at the corners and some of the centers. Use a coated pair of scissors when cutting sticky tape, otherwise your scissors will get gunked up fast. I used the tape bc the carpet corners are pricey. Update: it’s still good, just buy the double sided carpet square tape, made specifically for this…they are much better than a roll of carpet tape. There’s no padding -t’s thin, so if you need something softer underfoot, It’s best to look for something else.

Exactly what we wanted. Carpet tiles stay in place, match up well with each other, and look neat and tidy. Very easy to cut and fit. We wanted something easy to lift up in case of flooding in basement. We just laid them on concrete floor. While it is thin, it looks very nice, can't tell they're tiles.

These were a little thinner than I expected. Installed in our church auditorium and seem to be holding up pretty well. Don’t stain very easy and vacuum picks most everything right up. Install was easy. 1600 sq ft auditorium in one day. Still have a few boxes for offices. Price wasn’t too bad and backing seems pretty durable. Color in pictures is pretty accurate.

Carpet tiles, they won't save the world, but they will make your unfinished basement floor a little cozier. With some adhesive strips, a razer, and measuring tape, I applied two boxes of tiles to the basement stairs, slightly uneven non porous concrete basement floor. I did the garbage bag test and made sure no moisture comes up from the floor. The tiles are just thick enough to not feel the concrete seems or unevenness of random spots. They are also much nicer to walk on with socks then a bare concrete cold basement floor. After about three months of use they don't show any signs of wear, have not lifted at all, and I feel confident vacuuming on a low settings as I didn't glue them down, but used adhesive strips.

Turned our basement into another living room.

This was the most cost effective way for us to re carpet the house. They are perfect for dog owners! It’s just so nice to pull up a single square when a stain doesn’t lift. It is durable but thin compared to typical residential carpet. The look is industrial/commercial but very clean. I was able to cut it with ease using carpet scissors. I purchased 2 in double sided carpet tape for good adhesive strength.

Lays beautifully and trims easily. I am totally satisfied with it.
