Speak Thai Today: A Complete Thai Language Course. From Beginner to Conversational Speaker the Easy Way!

I planned a vacation to Thailand within 6 months and needed to learn a little bit of Thai. Bought this book to help me out. I've been reading it for awhile now and it's taught me a lot. Now I can speak and understand some Thai. I'm getting ready to travel in a couple of months so I will take the book with me and keep reading on the plane. After all, it takes 20 hours to get to Thailand. Bye Bye.

The book was put together with true intentions for people to be able to learn to speak Thai on their own. There are authentic Thai characters, English explanations as well as pronunciations annotated using letters one could related to English. There are list of glossary in English and in the pronunciation annotations. More over, there is audio / video materials online absolutely free. I feel if I don’t improve my oral Thai speaking I would’ve been failing the authors 😅

The book has most of the basics but the only problem is the book doesn't have a way to pronounce the words well.

We’re going to Thailand in six months and I really wanted to be able to learn at least how to speak the basics. I tried to find a few different tools online and different books, but everything was very overwhelming. I’ve never learned another language, but the reviews on this were so great and the book was so reasonably priced, I decided to give it a try. I’ve been learning for about a month and a half now, and know about 60 words, and can put together some basic, but very useful sentences. Thank you so much for this! I highly recommend!

Great book to learn to build simple sentences in Thai. Audio, video, exercises, and quizzes are very helpful. I just wish they will add exercises and quizzes to the later chapters in section 2. Overall great resource for learning Thai.

Book is very informative but when you click on the bar code for the videos, they sometimes come up and then they don't. No in between.

WHATEVER YOU DO, DON'T SCAN THE BARCODE! The book has a barcode inside, supposedly for free online learning to accompany your purchase, but it asks for your credit card and says you won't be charged. However my bank immediately sent me a fraud alert text and blocked an attempted $35 charge. The book says the barcode is for online materials to go along with the book and that no registration or additional purchase is required. The way the book is designed almost requires additional aid in order to learn properly. It isn't easy to try and learn without hearing the sounds so you might be tempted to scan the barcode like I was, but don't do it!

Good book otherwise when in paperback. Digital apparently only works with kindle app and has too many limitations.

これまでにとりあえず詰め込んでゴチャゴチャになっていた知識が、読み進めていくうちに、どんどん整理された感じ。たぶん文法を教える順番がいいんだと思う。例文もシンプルで、いろんな単語を使いすぎていないところがよい。購入してすごく良かった。
