Jouer Soft Focus Hydrate & Set Pressed Setting Powder, Medium

I absolutely love how this product effectively minimizes the appearance of pores and fine lines. It’s hydrating and doesn’t look caky. The packaging is also really cute! I’ve noticed that I achieve better results when I use a flat powder brush and apply it specifically to targeted areas under my eyes and T zone. It’s not a product I use all over my face; I primarily use it as a setting powder. A little goes a long way for me.

JOUER is an incredible line of make for maturing skin. The pressed face power is light and airy but packs a punch when it comes to coverage. And the packaging is so pretty!

Perfection in powder. Love the finish on this powder. I usually use Laura Gellar loose powder and this feels like my new go to. I am over 40 and have had to change makeup for my skin. This one doesn’t settle in lines and has the nice blurring effect.

Tried this powder after seeing so many good reviews on social media. Wasn't sure if it was hype by influencers or really the great product they claimed it is. Well, they weren't lying! It is a very smooth, lightweight powder. I always pick a translucent because I select my foundation carefully and I don't want a tinted powder to change the look or add another shade. As for this product, the packaging is beautiful, a teeny bit smaller than I expected but you use so little that is should last a while. Bonus 1: A lot of women said it is great under the eyes, I've tried it there and like it, BUT it is AMAZING at filling in your pores without looking packed on or caked (with or without a foundation base!). I am applying it with a powder puff to my nose (bought separately from another brand) Bonus 2: I am sensitive with some products but so far, no issues, and I've been using it for about a week.

I was a bit skeptical of this product’s claims at first — how can a pressed setting powder be hydrating??? — but I was VERY pleasantly surprised that I actually do feel the hydration when applying this powder (and my skin felt noticeably more hydrated throughout the day, which I really appreciate because I have dry skin which only gets worse in the fall/winter). It also made my skin look dewy but set — it’s honestly hard to describe (I will try to come back and add a photo of my makeup where all I have on for powder/setting spray is this) but my makeup is clearly set and any extra shine/texture is gone but there’s still a glass skin glow and dewiness to my face. Too much powder can also make my skin look TOO dry quickly but when using just this powder (vs my normal which is a very light layer of pressed in some areas, then some loose powder and several layers of setting spray) lightly across my face + setting spray gave me the look that I wanted, set my makeup perfectly but with more hydration and glow, AND it lasted great throughout the day without creasing, cracking, settling into my fine lines, or looking bad towards the end of the day so TL;DR: I’mTHRILLED that this one product is saving me a bunch of time and, in the long run, money too! This powder probably is best for people like me with dry skin who don’t like to use much powder, but honestly I think this could change the mind of people who like to use a lot of powder/bake/etc so even if you’re skeptical too, IMHO I think you should give this a try! The component is really nice and super classy looking (and I love how they stamped their logo and the leaf design into the powder) and it comes with a velvet bag to help keep fingerprints/scratches etc off the compact, but personally for the price I would’ve really liked to have this come with a high quality powder puff (I would’ve much preferred a puff to the bag). Still, I understand why they didn’t and it keeps the compact slimmer to not have a spot for the puff (though I would’ve been completely fine with one that doesn’t fit in the compact too). I do think this works best with a powder puff (just a regular velour one is good but the furry one i have from momo’s workshop is my fave w this) versus a brush. This is definitely on the pricy side but I 100% think it’s worth it! Highlyyyyy recommend

This product has mixed reviews, especially on FB/IG which is where I first saw an ad for it and had to try it. On this ad a more mature women is saying how this is her go to powder that eliminates the appearance of fine lines/pores and keeps the skin hydrated since the product has skin care type ingredients. Honest review of a women in her 30s who loves all things makeup- it’s a nice product that I enjoy and use often BUT for the price I’m sure you can find a similar product that either has more product for the same price or a cheaper product that can give you the same affect. Did it completely eliminate my lines and pores- kind of but not like the ad which clearly has some type of filter. But It did help with shineness and did not leave me feeling cakey, or disrupting the look of my makeup. What I did like about this powder that I haven’t seen with my other powders was it had coverage that helped hide my flaws, and I could reapply hours later without again looking cakey or like I had added more powder to my face- this isn’t revolutionary I’m sure you can find the same thing with another powder. I save this product for special occasion because after using it for about 2 weeks (I wear makeup about 3-5 days a week on avg) I already hit pan. I felt like it took many dips to cover my face where as most of my powders a little goes a long way. So overall I would recommend because I really do think it’s a nice hydrating formula for a powder, the price sucks especially if you wear makeup often but I have other go to powders that I can use for certain occasion, this one will be in my “special events” category with my other expensive products. Powders I cycle through that helped with this review- RCMA translucent powder (a MUST) it’s just the best for the price and you get A TON of it, blurs everything. Just love that brand. Laura Mercier- amazing but on the more expensive end and has corn startch which can cause breakouts Wet n wild photo focus- great and great price but drying Miora (pink version)- brightening and did the best at hiding/eliminating under eye creases. Kind of annoying to mix the 3 colors. This powder- probably top 3, skin FELT hydrated, looked hydrated and never looked like I had a ton of powder on. Beautiful finish. Lasted hours and hours but I also use setting spray so…could be because of that. Hope this helps!

This is a game changer for mature, dry skin. You could finally set your face all over using this powder. It’s hydrating and blurry at the same time.
