Sudden Strike 4 (PS4) - PlayStation 4

We are lacking RTS games on the PS4, when this game was announced it excited me. I have been looking for a game like Ruse that was on the PS3, hoping for a sequel or at least a game like it.Sudden Strike 4 brings the heat, has a bit of a learning curve to get the vehicles, infantry, and tanks to move where you want them to. Tow, unload, moving groups in and out of structures and buildings etc can be a little frustrating sometimes, a zoom feature would have been a nice edition here. You can capture supply depots, you do not need to build them. You can call in air support etc. I am only partially through the first few single player campaigns which i had to redo them because I kept getting wiped out. Once you get a better feel for the controls, it gets slightly easier. The AI is rough, it's pretty smart, i have been outfoxed several times. Overall i am very pleased with the purchase, i would recommend if you are into RTS war games.Multiplayer has some issues of dropouts in the waiting lobby so far i have seen, but i haven't invested much time in MP just yet. It is nothing a patch can't fix up.UPDATE: I am way further into the single player campaign now, and i want to say, once you learn all the controls, it is excellent. There is a zoom feature FYI the R1 button with the right stick on PS4. Once you know how to command your army correctly, it's more enjoyable, the buttons are a breeze once you get the hang of them. I am going to purchase all DLC available when released. I would rate 8.5/10 would rate a 10 if the multiplayer was a bit better.This game was created from a smaller studio, support this title gamers!

SILLY ME I THOUGHT WHEN YOU BOUGHT A GAME YOU PUT CD IN AND PLAYED. IN ORDER TO PLAY YOU NEED TO PURCHASE THE XAMPAIGNS AT 10 DOLLARS A POP. NEVER MENTIONED IN THE INFORMATION. WILL BE RETURNING

There's nothing wrong with the game as far as graphics and gameplay are concerned, it's just not the type of game I thought I was buying when I bought this.I was under the impression that this was similar to Command and Conquer in that you build up your own base and develop your army with the goal of defeating other armies.However, all you really do is complete missions using whatever your given at the start of each level and I quickly found myself getting bored and I quit playing during the 2nd mission.I will say that the level of detail regarding the tanks and guns etc. Is impressive as they are based on real world war II weapons and the graphics are appealing, it just wasnt for me

The ps4 has been getting good strategy games as of late Nobunaga's ambition tropico 5 etc and sudden strike 4 is the next big strategy game on the ps4 but is it goodFirst off I've played sudden strike 3 and loved it it's probably my favorite strategy game on PC when sudden strike 4 was announced i pre ordered it immediately for my ps4 i just received it yesterday on launch day and I've played several levels in the German campaign and I really like it there's three campaigns German Soviet and American in each campaign you play in important battles of ww2 the graphics and controls are really good and the enemy is pretty smart this game takes strategy to win if you rush right in you'll be destroyed the pathfinding of the units is good too and I've had no glitchesYou can also take control of historical commanders with their own benefits some benefit infantry while others benefit armour or supportI haven't tried skirmish or multiplayer so I can't comment on thatOverall sudden strike 4 is a great new addition to the series and a solid new strategy game for the ps4 unfortunately it lacks the Japanese campaign from sudden strike 3 but sudden strike 4 is still a great strategy gameOverall highly recommended

Been waiting for a good wargame for PS4. This game is really good - takes some time to learn controls (ie theres no mouse so its more controls to learn). Oncr you do its great wargames. Similar to Generals you can play campaign or skirmish (online or single).Best part of game are the sounds of explosions (the sound effects are so realistic)and the Tiger tank (man that tank does some damage out there). Also fun is calling in airstrikes (carpet bombing) and artillery. Paratroopers dropping down is awesome. Its great fun to do these special functions. You can play as 9 diff generals as well. Each one has specialty.This game is for all the C&C Generals fans out there. We've been waiting for a good wargame and now we got one. Hopefully the DLC includes other armies like Japan and naval and air warfare. Need superweapon ie atomic bombs snd kamikazes.Hours of fun and take that Tiger tank - they are monsters and bad a$$.

This game is a bit cumbersome to play on a console. It does give some good strategy play though. I haven't done head to head yet because I'm still getting used to the UI. The campaign is a bit limited, but there is an option to do a skirmish and selecting computer players. This is a good strategy game because it doesn't make you focus on "building." You can focus on using the forces at your disposal to accomplish the mission.

Game always crashes and lags worst than a pc game.

I have always been a fan of a good WW2 RTS game. I have played RUSE, Battlestations Pacific, Company of Heroes and now Studden Stike 4. I am impressed with the presentation, design, soundtrack, and historical accuracy. It has three main campaigns with a multiplayer mode that I have yet to try. I was concerned by some reviewers about the game being hard to play because of controls. However, I think that fear was exaggerated and I was fairly confident in the controls by the end of the third mission. I have been waiting a long time for this kind of game on PS4. I recommend this to anyone who loves a great strategy game.

Este juego desde cuando lo quise adquirir, dado que es del tipo Age of Empires, pero ambientado en la WWII.Escuché buenos comentarios y solo falta jugarlo. El costo del juego es inigualable, ahí Amazón es badass

Definitivamente un juego de estrategia bien logrado en el PS4, excelente para los fanaticos de juegos sobre la segunda guerra mundial, solo hay que adaptarse al cambio de juegos de estrategia en la PC al PS4

I found it boring, repetitive and annoying. I want to be a General or a combatant, for me the fun is making the big battlefield strategic decisions and/or controlling the actual combat, unfortunately this is more like being a Captain (or maybe Lieutenant). You just move a few troops and vehicles from here to there (not even far enough to be interesting) and then point them in the direction of the enemy and watch them fight it out... but wait, you get to build bridges and repair vehicles ZZZZZZZZZZZZ! I would be shocked if I ever play it again, which means it was a very expensive way to kill 2 hours. I'm giving 2 stars because the graphics are decent and it did seem reasonably well designed (if you like that style of gameplay).
