Lindy's 7718 stainless steel jug, 2-gallon, silver

I have goats, so I put ice packs in this, hang it on the scale and then milk into a Lindy 1 gallon milk jug. When I have milked one goat, I pour the milk into the 2 gallon milk jug, record the weight and move on to the next goat. The ice packs start cooling the milk right away. When I filter the milk into jars, I can put one of the two quart jars right back into the 2 gallon milk jug and put it under running cold water to cool it further. I like my Lindy milk jugs!

This is a really good quality stainless steel just. I use mine for brewing kombucha and I love it. It has a nicer flavour. I also added a spigot to it to make it easier to bottle my kombucha. The lid had a good snug fit but doesn't form a seal, which I like.

We love this pail for milking our Jersey cow. We milk into a smaller Lindys brand pail and then dump into this one as it fills.My only complaint is the rivets around the handle (see picture). It’s very very sharp and my son cut his hand on it while handling it. We thought of grinding that off but it holds the handle in place. Maybe the manufacturer will see this and address that issue. It also affects cleaning it because it will slice your hand if you graze it.Otherwise it’s lovely and I highly recommend!

Lid did not fit tight. As others I had.

It seems solid, well made. Non-magnetic stainless.Only complaint so far is an odd black metallic residue. It took three good washes with a scouring pad and hot soapy water to remove.
