Refresh Setting Is a Bonus
Worth the extra money. Push the Refresh button and the unit discharges the batteries, then charges them to full. This helps longevity and should allow full discharge during use. I used this setting on some older batteries I have that would not last very long. They are working much better now.

This Charge Works Just Fine
Really nice charger with informative displays. Will also charge other brands of nimh AA and AAA batteries. Don't believe the reviews that say AAA batteries don't fit or fit loose. There is a deep well at the negative end for only AAA batteries. When inserted properly the batteries will look un-level or at approx at a 15 degree angle. It's all in the directions for those of us that actually look at them. As per most nmih chargers I've seen it does take some time for the batteries to charge. The eneloop pro batteries (sold separately) come 85% charged and can be topped off in a charger such as this.

Good charger!
I've only had this a few days now, however it seems to be made very well. I've used it to charge 20 eneloop pro AA batteries and 16 Amazon basic high capacity AA batteries with no problems. I also used it to charge some old eneloop AAA's that I had on hand also. The eneloop AA's take about 4.5 hours for a full charge, the Amazon high capacity AA's around 4 hours. I know there are lower priced charger available but I went with the eneloop one based on how well their batteries perform and I think I made a good choice.

Works good
Seems to top up Eneloop batteries better than other chargers,I got the one that has discharge readings so you can tell if a battery is any good.simple to use.

BQ-CC65AKBBA Probably the best AA battery charger on the marker
I will preface this with...I have a bit of a rechargeable battery addiction. In addition to this charger, I own the BQ-CC17KSBA, BQ-CC75KSBHA and the BQ-CC55KSBHA. I have about 30+ Eneloop AA Pro, 30+ AA Eneloops and about 100 2300mAH Energizer rechargeables. I do not have a need for this many, but I no longer use alkaline batteries. My biggest gripe with alkaline, other than they're a waste, is that they are a ticking bomb waiting to explode in remotes and gunk up everything.as for the BQ-CC65AKBB, what I love most this charger is that it charges each individual cell, it doesnt do it in pairs. Its also incredibly good at what it does. i get about 15% more juice out of each battery when I charge them on this charger vs my others. I'm not exactly sure how that is, or how its even possible, but its results I see.I use these in our wireless Schlage deadbolt locks with the Eneloop Pros. Even with a full charge will, the Schlage indicator states they are at 68%. When I recharge the batteries with this charger, that jumps up to 83%.The only thing keeping this s 4 star review vs a 5 star review is that it's a beefy charger. Significantly larger than the other models. I guess its not really an issue since its not like I'm taking it out of the house, but I ultimately do prefer smaller over larger. One final note. These chargers are hard to find, there aren't many retailers that carry them. If you want one and Amazon has it available, buy it. I was on the Amazon waitlist for this charger for 4 months. I actually forgot I even ordered it.

Not good enough for the price
I bought it for the |USB out| mode. I thought it would use the batteries already on it and give out 1A of USB power for emergencies; however this is NOT correct. It can only push out USB power if it is plugged in to power. The screen will say USB OUT and you can't control anything unless you turn the USB off.Note: 1A USB current is not good enough to charge modern phones/tablets. My last phone came with a 3A charger.I'm returning this charger and going to look for the following:* Individual charger (charges each battery separately)* LCD display to show: Current, Battery resistance, Voltage* Manually adjustable charging speed (Regular quick charge is not good for battery longevity and should be avoided unless you're in a hurry).* In addition to Ni-MH and Ni-Cd, it must be able to charge LiFePO4 and/or Li-Ion.* Able to revive batteries from 0 Volt.So far on my research, ASIN B07H32WVTF on Amazon is way cheaper and has all of the perks mentioned above. It can automatically detect battery type except for LiFePO4(3.6v) which needs to be manually selected. Their engineer? made a dumb decision to default any Lithium battery to Li-ion (4.35v) and risk damaging the LiFePO4 or starting a fire instead of defaulting to 3.6V and risk not fully charging the Li-ion.. I'll update this review if I find something better.

The charger to have for eneloop
So much better than the standard charger. Many more features and a very informative display. Flawless, except for being a bit large.
