can this be use with any makita circula saw?

It says in the description that you can buy an adapter to use it with any circular saw (Makita 199232-5 Guide Rail Adapter for Circular Saws). Altough, having the plunge track saw would give you better cuts and will take less set up time.

Has anyone ever used this to cut a 12 foot long solid surface Corian countertop?

Yes, it works great, I've connected 3 X 55" sections with 2x connecting addaptors for each connection for extra strength. As long as you take your time to set it up straight and then check measurements at the middle before every cut it works great. I've managed to rip full 12ft sheet at just 1/2 inch wide without any issues. Hope that helps.

Are there shorter versions of this track? Like 30" long.

Yeah they make a 39”, it showed up in my suggested when I was looking at tracks

Do these tracks come with the splinter strips?
