If you buy these it's money well spent best protection you can get
Best value for the money functionality durability and fit in your clothing. The CE level 2 rating is awesome but be sure you read the item because a specific side has to face the road if you put them in backwards they will not work and you will break bones. I just had a bad crash at a slow speed around 20 miles an hour I hit the ground like a ton of bricks and I got up with sore ribs and that was it had it not been for these they were probably be planning my funeral seriously these are the best of all the body armor you could buy money well spent. You don't even notice they're there they are so soft until impact then they become so hard they protect your body

SUPER comfortable
Bought these the other day and updated back pads (separate purchase), knee and added hip pads to the pockets. On the hips: Pockets were too small for the shoulder size so.. I just used scissors and cut them down. Fit great. On the knees: They do not. Come with a Velcro area or Velcro patch. So: I used some 3M patchs that I got off here. I turned the backing out for the fabric side, and gently used a razor to cut a shape out of the fabric side. I then ripped that part off, and then stickied the Velcro to the plastic underneath, rather than the fabric. Worked great. Bottom line: DIY is your friend, but they make great products. Just sometimes a one size fits all model.. simply doesn't.

impressive feel!
these replaced some thick, heavy, molded, and unwilling to bend armor in my jacket. They're light, flexible, and make the jacket feel much more natural to wear! Here's hoping I don't have to see how much protection they offer. Now if only there was a back protector...

Good for the price but likely no CE level 2
Good pads that actually fit in the large non-typical pad pockets in my jacket. I seriously doubt these are CE level 2, I would say CE level 1 at best. But they're very lightweight, breathable, and flex so well I barely feel them in my sleeves, so they're better than nothing. I'd say they're worth it for the price as long as you aren't expecting genuine CE level 2 armor.

Flexible enough, they fit well in my Kevlar lined jeans
I needed to purchase these as my motorcycle jeans with Kevlar did not come with armor pads. These fit well into the interior pockets on the jeans for the hip and knees. It’s unclear if these offer protection per research done. Makes me feel better protected..

Ok, but not flexible for knees or elbows, maybe shoulders
I have the ventilated Phantom and regular SAS-TEC level 2 pads. I was hoping they were thin, flexible and cooler for summer riding. They are thin, and cooler. But, the flexibility is only in one direction or the other, not both at the same time. So for knees, they move around and don't flex enough to be comfortable or wrap around. Same issues with elbows. A standard D30 level 2 pad is far better and remains more flexible at colder temps than these do. They will work for hips, and maybe shoulders.

Repeat purchase.
SAS-TEC armour is one of the best rated armour materials for motorcyclists. It's very thin and light and protects well. This is a second set I have bought from Great Lakes. First order turned up promptly and fitted well in my jacket. I was so impressed I ordered another set to upgrade my riding pants.

Good!
I put these in a pair of ugly bros. jeans. The pads that came with these jeans were ridiculously thick and uncomfortable. These are a lot thinner and more comfortable. Thankfully I haven’t crash tested them yet. I’m trusting in the ce rating.

Comfortable, light and with level 2 protection to boot. There's no competition in the market for something this lightweight at level 2 protection - no brainer purchase if you're looking to upgrade from level 1 armor. Note: The armor is meant to be worn with the honeycomb shell towards the body and the fabric away, which was a bit odd but again, you can't really feel it in the end.

Nice tight fit in my jacket. Conforms to my body and much slimmer compared to my old armour. Nice and breathable for the Aussie sun
