Blondo Women's Villa Waterproof Ankle Bootie

I got these through Prime Wardrobe, so I had 7 other pairs of boots to try out before choosing the best ones for me. I got them for a trip to Paris where I knew I would be doing a lot of walking. They are really cute and stylish and looked great with everything from black pants and jeans to a cocktail dress. Super versatile and quite comfortable. They are also waterproof, which came in handy when it rained. I didn't try the out in a downpour, but for walking in a light rain, or on wet streets, they seemed to be just fine. The only thing about them that caused me grief was the fit. I spent one day walking all day long...easily 8 miles or so...and because of the heel height, my feet slide forward a bit, and the toes are a little more pointed than I realized. So my toes got smooshed and by the end of the day I had a couple of really sore toes. Granted, I don't often walk 8 miles in cute little boots, and probably asked too much of these. I would still recommend them and will take them on my next trip. I will just not plan to wear them on the day when I'm doing a 10K around town! For everyday wear and a night out, these are really a great pair of boots! Love them!

I've been looking and trying on black ankle boots for months to replace a pair that finally wore out after several years of reliable and stylish wear. I travel a lot, so I need an ankle boot that looks good and is comfortable to walk in- whether it's a trip to the grocery store or touring the city sidewalks of London or Paris. I think these booties will do the job nicely, and I discovered last night after stepping in a deep puddle that they are truly waterproof. Yes! As other reviewers mentioned, they do hit right at the ankle bone which may be uncomfortable to some, but it doesn't bother me. I ordered the black leather (which looks like suede to me in the picture, but is not)- it has a smooth matte finish, which will not be as easy to keep looking as nice & new as a polished leather. My second concern is the heel holding up to normal use as it is fabric wrapped over a plastic base- not a solid wood or composite dyed to match or wrapped in leather. I'm happy with the purchase for now, but time will tell how they hold up.

Update: I willbe keeping both pairs. Even though the mushroom pair is still way more tighter than the black pair, I wore them all day and they seem to be stretching slightly. These shoes are wonderful and waterproof. My only issue is not knowing how they will fit even if you order the exact same size you had. That being said these shoes deserve more stars than what I gave them originally. Thus, I am changing it from 2 stars to 4.I am very confused by this company. I have owned a pair of black suede for several months. They were the most comfortable shoe but slightly too big as I ordered my normal size of 6. The second time I ordered, I ordered mushroom suede and black suede in a 6. They were too big so I reordered a 5.5. Meanwhile I kept the size 6 to compare to the 5.5. When they arrived, the second set fit perfectly but had to send them back. The size 5.5 black pair was scuffed on the heel. When I compared the 6 and 5.5 mushroom suede, there were major differences in color and the 5.5 came with huge zippers unlike the other pairs. I just received my third attempt at this. The black 5.5 fit perfectly and look beautiful. The mushroom 5.5 are so tight I can feel them throbbing just sitting down. I hope these will stretch but I don’t understand how the color can change the way they fit. The maker is not making these accurately. A 5.5 should fit the same way regardless of color. I may have to send these back for the third time. If that happens I will never order from them again, which is sad because I truly love the first pair I bought. They are waterproof and extremely comfortable when they fit correctly.! The only reason I ordered a second black pair is because the heel has suede on it too and that can peel if you knick it. I wore them every day and when I tripped, it took a piece off of the suede heel. I should probably have stopped ordering after that since they were only 2 months old at the time. Heel is poorly made. However the comfort is what I needed for an upcoming Italy trip. So disappointed in this company. Amazon has been great with helping me resolve these issues though. So I am grateful for their help with dealing with the irregularities this shoe has had.

Though I haven't tried the waterproofing yet, these are great boots. VERY cute, and comfortable. I found the fit to work well for me - I'm usually a solid 9B (especially in Clarks, for those who want to compare sizing, and I buy a lot of Clarks!) and this 9B was perfect. I do suspect the suede has a bit more give than solid leather would, and they would not accommodate thick socks, but despite the fact that my 3rd toe is on the long side, the tapered toe shape of this boot worked well for me. I can see these being particularly great for fall/winter travels, as they can easily be dressed up or down. Thinking about getting another color!

I Love Blondo boots! Just order your shoe size: I usually wear an 8 in sneakers & boots, and a 7 1/2 In shoes. But not Blondo, they run big, so don’t order up. I ordered a 7 1/2 & they fit great. I ordered an 8 last year & they stretched after wearing a season. But I kept them for wearing heavy socks. Blondo boots are waterproof & will keep your feet dry & warm in the cold. They are very comfy right out of the box. I can wear them for longer than 12 hours & they never hurt. I am slender curvy girl, who stays pretty fit, so these boots fit nicely around my ankles. I also have a wide toe box & these fit great with good support.

Because another review said these run small, I ordered up a size. I am so glad I did! These are extremely comfortable for daily wear—all day. Since the design is so simple and classic, I wear them with everything. I’m going to buy another pair very soon because I love them!UPDATE: deleted two stars for quality. After only a couple of months, I need to get them re-heeled. They’ve worn down much faster than I expected. The uppers are great—I wish the heels were as high quality.

These ankle boots are very cute and well made for the price. The black leather is very soft, matte, and waterproof. The rubber sole has a lot of grip to it, but the heel is not as grippy so beware of that. I had to order a half size up even though I have fairly narrow feet, but they are otherwise very comfortable to walk in right off the bat.The only issue I had is that they had a weird chemical smell (almost like nail polish) when I first took them out of the box. Thankfully, that smell dissipated when I let them air out for a few hours. I wonder if it's the waterproofing that causes them to have that smell...Overall, I think they great boots. I bought a few different brands of black ankle boots in order to find the rights ones and these are it.

i ordered these boots in a size 6 to take on an alaskan cruise and was excited to get them......BUT. i received the first pair and they were cute as could be but ran VERY small and narrow. as my daughter has always said she has narrow feet but my feet are freakishly narrow so i was shocked at this. i have NEVER had a pair of shoes be too tight. i returned them and ordered a 1/2 size larger (6.5) hoping that would fix the problem.....NOPE. when the 2nd pair arrived i was equally as excited as the first time but that was short lived. the right shoe was too large and wide so much so that i was able to remove it while wearing socks without unzipping it. the left shoe on the other hand was to small and tight to even put on with socks. as much as i love the looks of these boots i will be returning them and will not be ordering a 3rd pair :(

This is definitely waterproof! However, for wider fit, if you go for your usual size it will pinch. I took a half size bigger (I’m usually US 6 but I got US 6.5). This made the width fit better but it does make it looser to wear.However the inner sole is not as padded as I expected so my initial use had my arch a little sore. My tip is to purchase an additional inner sole that will soften or provide additional cushion.

Love my new shoes very good for heavy rain .. nice style and price was great.It is heavier than I would like not sure about the cleaning

Love these boots. The description of my boots said black leather but I was sent black suede. I still love them. Very comfortable and look great. Already looking for these boots in another shade now.
