Always know when someone pulls into your driveway
These are awesome! We’ve had these for 17 or 18 years now and will never not have one again. We have two alerts currently to notify us when someone enters our home driveway and another that makes a different chime to let us know if someone pulls into our shed driveway…both work off the same receiver which is nice. With the world we live in today, you need to know when someone is approaching your house or on your property. We’ve replaced the receiver and an alert occasionally over these years but they last a long time and are so worth it. Customer service was top notch the one time I needed assistance and they stand behind their product. I’m a customer for life!

Best Driveway Alerts I've ever had...and I've had several!! Awesome!!!
I've had this system for approximately a month. I bought the receiver which comes with one transmitter. I also bought another transmitter because my driveway is very long. I have the tones set to different chimes so that if one goes off I will assume it's a deer or some other animal. If one goes off and the other goes off in several seconds I will know it's most likely a car. So far this system is working great. I am very pleased. Unlike my previous driveway alerts of different brands, this system has yet to emit a false signal. I have had several different brands in the past, but this one is by far the most reliable. I am tickled to death with it.Also, the customer service is absolutely awesome. Out of the box, one of the transmitters didn't work. I logged on to Amazon and requested to send the one transmitter back. The next day, Rodann contacted me by email and left a number and a name to contact for this issue. Before I got home to call, Rodann called ME on my cell!!! They were very anxious to get the issue resolved and to make me happy. The service rep asked me to try a couple of things before sending it back. I was happy to do this as the other was working so well. What he asked me to try fixed it right up. I had the dip switch settings messed up on the one! The rep was very nice and very knowledgeable about the product. Excellent customer service. It would be impossible to improve the experience. With all that being said, so far I am very pleased with this purchase. The driveway alerts are working as advertised. I will definitely purchase from these guys again. Thanks Rodann!

reliable, good product
this is a very good product. first 'driveway' sensor i had was a chamberlain. had it for a month or two.. it had false alerts. far from perfect. after the grass started growing in spring of '18, the wife ran it over.. researched driveway sensors again. got a new one. the rodann. i didnt really want to pay over 100 bucks, but this is by far more accurate and and realiable than my previous sensors. i get false readings, but ususally only on windy days, where maybe 40 feet away is a pine tree that moves with the wind. i get deer all the time passing through, and it does get obnoxious at times.. so bad that i've had to turn down the volume. my sensor is about 200 feet from my house. it has picked up every single car/truck/suv that hass passed, also whenever my kid gets the mail or gets off the bus, it goes off. 3 kids, and i usually get 3 beeps/alerts. i have the sensor mounted a treated 4x4 about.. may 12-13 inches from the ground. I would highly recommend this sensor. mounting and getting everything setup was fairly straight forward. just follow the included directions. i ordered a cheap imported 'light' that i can attach to it and run down to the basement, so that it will blink. i have not connected it to the receiver. but i do appreciate that the receiver has the capability. i have not yet, but i'll probably upload photos.

Reliable even behind screen (edit: -1 star for bad behavior)
I bought this Rodann Driveway Alarm to replace a decades-old Dakota unit that had become the love-interest of a demented Pileated woodpecker. Having got holes in the old unit, I determined to test the Rodann in a box behind a layer of metal screen to protect it from the aforementioned woodpecker as well as curious flying squirrels and other rodents.Testing has showed the Rodann Driveway Alarm to work just fine behind (1) 1/4-inch square galvanized iron "hardware cloth", AKA rabbit screen (2) grey aluminum window screen, and (3) black aluminum window screen. With the unit on a post high enough to be above weeds and set at a 60-degree angle to the driveway, it reliably detects cars, trucks and humans.I haven't had the unit long enough to talk about battery life. The selectable tones are GREAT. The Dakota unit had only a loud, high-pitched squeal that drove the cat crazy, but he doesn't panic when the Rodann goes off.EDIT: I removed one star because of undocumented and/or bad behavior. It *seems* that when the dectector's batteries get low it sends an alarm signal over and over and over and over and over and over and and over and over and over ... the counter went to 700+ overnight. During this repeat, repeat, repeat stuff, the delay (set on the receiver) was IGNORED == no delay between alarms.I can't really confirm that yet until I kill another set of batteries in a few months (if that). The *new* AA batteries lasted from late December (after Christmas) to late February. It was kinda cold here in New England this year (we set a one-day record) so *maybe* that's the cause of short battery life. We'll see...
