Do they go inside your pants? Do you have to have a special carhart pant?

Yes they go in carhart pants. Find a different brand. They shrank and firmed up after the first wash. I ended up using a garden kneel down pad that I cut to fit. Cheaper and washable.

Do they fit the dickies double knee painter pants?

Yes they do. As a matter of fact..... We print a sticker for Dickies and they apply to the knee of their pants in the production facility in Honduras. Our knee pad is the reason they leave an opening in it. We met an executive for Dickies at the trade show in Honolulu in the early 2000's and it took us 2 years to get them to modify their pocket but we did it! If you try them, you won't regret it! If you try them, and don't like them, I will pay you back! It's my personal guarantee. My dad designed them in 1994.

Anyone use these in Fjallraven Barent Pro trousers?

Yes, i have three pair. Oldest pair is three years old. Looks like it won't fit into small hole in pants, but persist. After that they stay in pants. Mine have gotten a LOT of use, daily, over these years. Just wash pants with pads inside. Still in VERY good shape. And, wonderfully comfortable. I'll buy more.

Will these work in a pair of carhartt overalls (insulated bibs)? that have the small hole on bottoms for insuring pad but i was just curious. thanks!

YES!!!! these pads are awesome I have them in all my carhartt bibs and they fit up into double knee jeans roll them and slip up inside small opening -I do NOT remove them for washing W all use them up yonder -your knees will thank -you
