Couple this auger with a quality 1/2 inch battery drill and you too can dig like a Badger ! A drill with a side assist handle works the best. Come summer impress your Chick by drilling holes for her veggie plants ! Its a Win Win !!

This sucker is tough!
Built MUCH better than the cheapo versions, worth the extra dollars. This baby even cut through 1/4 inch roots without balking. I can see it's going to last for years.

but better price. Superior to anything YardButler makes
Extremely solid and well built. Solid large 3/8" hexagonal shaft, Thick spiral "flutes", and at least 3 very solid welds of the flute to the shaft (welded bits sides of flute too!) Probably at least as strong as PowerPlanter, but better price. Superior to anything YardButler makes. If you want an earth auger that will last years, this is it. Just used mine to drill 20 holes in clay soil.

Not effective in frozen ground
Answers to questions indicated the bit would work in frozen ground. It failed up here in Maine in our frozen ground with 18v dewalt.
