These work good & checks many different batteries.

These things are cheap trinkets. Cheap both in construction and cost. But, they work well enough if you just need a rough gauge of charge. I bought this two pack and tested them on the same battery. They gave slightly different readings. Plus, I could see that the needle on one of the testers was more sticky than the other. Again, cheap. There's no quality control here. Lastly, I've actually been using the same model for the last couple of years. It just broke so I decided to replace it. I figure I can probably buy three of these for the price of some of the more expensive ones. So even if it breaks once every three years I suspect I'm still winning. And if I lose it or drop it or run over it with my car, I'm not going to sweat it. But again if you need a more granular measurement of charge, this is not the tester for you. Note: this two pack was actually less expensive than the single pack. Go figure.

I wish I had bought this sooner! The prior battery tester I have is now retired. This tester is awesome. Quick results shown on many various batteries! I ordered two just in case I misplace one. Great price, super product. I highly recommend it!!

Easy to use, and very accurate. No more messing around with wires, so frustrating. They are so inexpensive. I’m going to buy more and keep them wherever I have batteries in use just stick them in a drawer nearby. You might save money by not throwing away good batteries, just a bad connection.

From what I can tell they work. I took several batteries and checked them on both testers. In most cases they tested out almost the same. I then compared them to another battery tester I have been using for years and they came out fairly close, sometimes reading "lower" than the tester I have been using for years, suggesting the battery may have less juice than what my older test indicated. I did not do any testing of these with a volt/ohm meter. I have done that in the past with my tried and true older tester. Yes, that would have been a much better test, but for the price of these testers and what I need them for, I just didn't take the time. Why only 3 stars? These are extremely light weight plastic. I found this to be somewhat of an issue. It seemed to make it more difficult to handle. To measure the battery, you have to adjust the plastic slide that has a connector on it. Then you need to put pressure on the slide with the battery in between the slide connector and the top connector to make a connection. Then the meter will register. BUT, you have to keep the battery in place and often it slides around between the connectors, so the connection is broken. With a little practice I got better. This is where I think a little more weight would be better. I think that would help to handle the tester when trying to balance the battery between the slide connector and the top connector. Just my thoughts. Would I buy again, for the price they will do what I need them to do; keep them near where I store my batteries to check when needed. I like that they come in the two pack. I like being able to test the batteries using both to do a double check. I would be very concerned if I was using these daily and in a garage environment. I worry about placing them somewhere that they may have stuff placed on them, e.g., a junk drawer. I also worry about dropping them. Again, if I dropped one, I like that I have a backup to check to see if the other one still works and just as a backup, but I would be concerned that they might chip or even shatter. So concerns about functionality. I feel okay with accuracy. Not too hard to read as long as I have my glasses on. Will update later if needed.

It works if you work with it, but my old one that has a battery to. Measure and it is easier to operate for older folks.
