Love this trash bin! You can either hang it over the door or it comes with a sticky adhesive so you don’t have to see the black hook. It is the perfect size and the lid closes very smoothly. I can easily remove the waste and put another bag on. It is very functional.

Perfect size and design for the kitchen. It’s well built and has a nice design. The material is good and doesn’t look cheap.

Well made and an awesome addition to my kitchen which facilitates working next to the sink without having to constantly walk over to the garbage disposal!

Small and compact. I love that it can be hung on kitchen cabinet doors. Reduces clutter on the countertop and makes for easy disposal of food items when cooking and making meals. The lid slides open easily and closes easily as well, sealing to prevent odor from food.

i love this thing its so pretty. the only issue i have is that the drawstring perk doesn't really work, they need to make their own bags where if you pull the strings with the lid close it will close the bag so you don't have to have a whiff of trash when you open the lid but as it is now the bag wont close when you pull the strings with the lid closed, it just makes it easier for you to grab the cords when you pull the bag out which is a design fail for me.

I bought the ELPHECO hanging trash can/compost bin (2.5 gallon) to replace an under-sink bin I use as a mini garbage can. The concept is great and the size is perfect for a cabinet door. What I liked: the lid mechanism is genuinely smart. It opens by sliding forward or pulling straight up on the hinges, which makes it easy to use one-handed. It also looks like it should seal almost vacuum-tight. In practice, though, the lid only pulls forward and the seal felt flimsy. Because I’m using this for food waste (not just “dry” compost scraps), I was worried about odors building up under the sink. I ended up returning it. If you’re using it for compost that doesn’t get very smelly, or light trash, I think it would be fine. For anything odor-prone, it wasn’t my top choice.

In a kitchen the size of a shoebox, this sturdy trash bin is a total sanity-saver. It hangs right on the cabinet, saving so much space. Scraps go straight from the counter into the bin and the lid closes shut, so my apartment doesn't smell like a subway platform in June. It’s small, smart, and stays out of my way, which is all you can really ask for in NYC. Love the price too!
