Luxonis Oak-D Lite Robotics Camera - Auto Focus

Put it in my robot. Outputs depth cloud for ROS and can identify different objects. Super cool!

This is NOT as simple as a plug n play webcam. There is no instruction manual. This thing requires a detailed setup and installation process. It requires quite a few commands just to initialize it and to get it to show any kind of video. But, once you get it going, it works fine.

Bought this to speed up development of a project and pretty sure I got an OOB failure, the color camera does not work at all. Support is non existent through their forums, super frustrating! Found another user on their forums who also had a hardware issue within the last week and support had him jump through a billion hoops before they replaced, complete nonsense! UPDATE: I purchased another to get it faster than dealing with an exchange and the second unit is another hardware failure. Different issue, but the way the vendor runs support is ridiculously slow and inefficient. Tried multiple cables and multiple machines, including two Win 11 boxes, a Pi 4, and a Mac.

I was positively impacted by how well it works

Works fine as a webcam, but it was too slow for my use. The one I received did not even have the IMU as advertised on their website.
