Not happy with performance for the price
I do not recommend this light. I purchased it to use while walking outside in the dark. I already own a few different cheaper flashlights and had read good reviews for this one, so for the price I was expecting good performance. The main spotlight is "OK", with a decent throw distance, but is only good for outdoor distance lighting on its maximum/turbo setting which drains the battery very quickly. The low/medium settings are too dim for distance use. The secondary flood light is not very bright at all even on its maximum setting. It sacrifices brightness for a wider angle but is so dim that it really isn't useful for outdoor use. It might be OK inside a cave or something. The battery life chart is misleading. For example it describes turbo mode having a run time of 2 hours. In reality, turbo mode is only sustained for a few minutes before being stepped down until it finally dies completely after the 2 hours. It is not 2 hours of sustained turbo mode as you might expect. Same for all the other modes listed.Build quality is OK, but there are cheaper lights which perform better than this for a lot less cost. I own an Emisar D4V2, DW2 and a Convoy H2 all of which are just as bright or brighter than this and cost less. Emisar's lights are noticeably brighter and when using the floody optic lens they provide a much better illumination coverage and a better balance between distance and wide angle from a single light source.
