The shelf life says 18. Is that 18 months?

I don't have the package anymore, but I imagine. I have had mine longer than 18 months, and it's still fresh. I transferred it into a glass mason jar, and keep it in a dark cupboard.

This product states that it is non GMO, no additives, no preservatives. The package reads: Our vanilla beans are sustainably grown without pesticides our synthetic fertilizers, then hand selected and slowly ground at low temperatures to create this incredible vanilla experience. Is this product organic?

I'm not sure of the formal definition of organic, but the packaging says:- no pesticides or synthetic fertilizers were used to grow;- non-gmo project verified- item is raw;- no alcohol, fillers or preservatives;I cook a lot and thought that the product was very good.

What is the shelf life?

I ordered mine about 6 months ago. I keep it sealed and in the frig. It does have a sticker on it of 05/2015. I would think it is like any spice that does not spoil but will just lose some of its flavor over time.
