Bought for hiking in RMNP
Bought for a hiking trip to RMNP in case we ran into a bear in the trail. Didn’t end up needing it, but it’s loud!

Loud! But hard to use at lower volumes or shorter durations
Love the loudness of this whistle. Works great over large distances- use it for sail coaching. It does need a minimum volume / blow strength to work. It takes a few moments to get the whistle to work so it’s hard to use at less than a certain volume or to do a series of short whistle bursts. May have to get a second whistle for that..

Yes, this STORM whistle is a bit bulky,but it is Super Loud. Isn’t that the purpose of having a whistle!Have a few of these whistles for out on the lake or in the bush.Could also be used as a security whistle in a purse.

The media could not be loaded. Apito alto, vc tem que proteger os ouvidos, pois vc fica um pouco surdo e incomoda por um tempo. Vale o mesmo aviso em relação a pessoas próximas pois pode causar dano auditivo a quem tiver próximo e sem barreiras. Tem aviso que não é recomendado para crianças, manter longe de seu alcance.
