Skip HopBaby Play Gym, Garden Oasis, Green Multi

Almost gave this 4 stars but that said "I like it" and I do genuinely love it so it still got 5! I guess I'll start with the minor bad points I've had. Unfortunately the apple hanging toy has a defect where the fabric isn't stitched around the mirror and the singing birdy came unstitched and fell off of the ring and felt loop he was attached to, which considering my son is only 3 months and does nothing more than bat at them, I was quite disappointed by. I have taken photo's and am going to write to Skip Hop and see if they will replace them :)Other than that, I really love this playmat!!! It's so much nicer than any others I've seen, beautiful design, lovely colours and friendly faces on the animals. My son has a woodland themed bedroom and I always gravitate towards anything woodlandy so of course I went straight for this! It's nice and padded, not thin as many others are. The quality really is superior (shame about above mentioned which I'm sure is a rareity) and my son absolutely loves it! He was starting to show signs of boredom before I got this and I'm sure other parents' will agree it's quite hard to entertain a 3 month old to start with because they can't do much. He loves to lie on his back on this and talk to the animals, the tweeting bird he beams at when I press it! He also loves tummy time with the cushion provided. All the materials are really soft and silky, easy to clean up the little bits of milk he spits out. It's machine washable too, though I haven't had to yet. Once he's bigger I plan on taking the bars off to use it as a floor mat. You can take the toys off individually for your baby to hold or you can hang them from a carseat or pram. Well worth the money! I just hope Skip Hop will replace the faulty toys :)

As well as being really cute, this is a well made product. It was easy to set up and looks great in my son's woodland themed nursery.There is plenty on here to amuse the baby. All the animals make different noises and there are different textures in the mat as well as some squeakers. The animals are also detachable, which is a bonus and there is a small pillow included to help with tummy time which I liked as you don't get with many of the other gyms.Although my baby is still a bit young to interact with it fully, he is already enjoying lying on the mat looking at the animals.A little more expensive than some other gyms we looked at (although a lot cheaper on here than at the department store I saw it in), but I think it is worth the money and it looks better quality than some of the cheaper ones.

This mat is great. A really cute design and keeps baby entertained with its variety of toys including a bird with wings that make a rustly sound that babies seem to love, plus a wooden ring that baby loves to chew on :-) He also loves the bird with the rattly balls in its belly and the owl in the middle. The cushion is great for resting my baby on when playing on his tummy. He doesn't like being on his belly much but this helps him to stay on his belly for longer without becoming frustrated.It just shows you don't need one of these mats with lights and music to keep baby entertained :-)

I chose this baby gym amongst others because it had good reviews from other buyers, and also I looked at the higher price end thinking it would be a better product. Not sure whether it is better or not, as I am writing this review having no other baby gym to compare it with. However, I do like it. I agree with other reviewers that it is subtle and tasteful if you don't want to fill your living room with garish plastic toys and the toys will be good to play with separately. Packs away neatly in plastic case. Very easy to re-assemble. My only disappointment is that the base mat is less padded than I thought it would be, so there is not much "cushioning" between the baby and the hard floor, and although the hanging toys look cute and interesting enough to look at, it would have been nice if they did a bit more. For example, I found the squirrel has to be pressed quite firmly before it emits a sound, and also the chiming owl does not chime for long enough. Overall, calm-looking colours and very pretty, so hopefully baby will enjoy using it.

Great activity gym. Would definately recommend and would buy it again. The canopy and jungle sounds gives a real immersive feel. The mat is soft and interesting. The whole item is colourful without being in your face bold. It comes with a lot of accessories and features relative to other gyms so feels extremely good value for money. The sloth makes jungle and white noise sounds for 10mins and stops, which is a helpful marker of time. The tummy time cushion really increases the versatillity of use. Overall, the gym is of great quality and maintains interest for a sustained period of time.

Love this mat! It looks fab and my little one has great fun on it. There are several different textures and sound effects and the overall quality is very nice. The first couple of times putting it up can be a bit challenging as the fabric holes are quite tight for the plastic clips to go through (make sure you have a good grip, otherwise there is a good chance of getting a pole in the face lol!). but overall, no complaints here.

Lovely play mat for our baby. He loves to reach out for the dangling birds and some make noises as he does which is lovely. The birds can be put at different heights so smaller babies can see or reach too. It seems to wipe clean easily from the few incidents we’ve needed to so far. The mat and toys feel like good quality and not too plastic-y which is nice.

Unpacked, repacked, and returned. This product is very poorly made and not suitable for young babies.Now struggling to get a refund.

Love how soft this playmat is and the design is so cute! The fabric does make my baby a little hot at times so I place a cotton swaddle blanket underneath and she’s good to go. Love skiphop products.

I really loved the look of this, but was disappointed because the canopy falls to one side a lot. It takes a lot of fidgeting to get it to stay in place a lot of the time. Not sure if I have something put together wrong but I believe it’s just a design flaw.
